dislikes about ICBYD (?!?!?)

For me, ICBYD is the best album ever made. But before i
used to think that, i didn't like all of the tracks...Wet
Tip Hen Ax wasn't/and isn't that good. The Waxen Pith is a
bit non-brilliant, too.
but the rest is pure genious.

I would say the least genious track on the CD is 'Cow Cud Is
A Twin'. I love 'the waxen pith'....

One of his worst albums... some great tracks (ICCT, Slags)
but the rest is him treading water....

It 's really a good album but not his best...

...I really like cow cud is a twin...it's wonderful

its very good, i don't really like come on you slags, but i
find it fasinating because of its weirdness...

Ventolin is one of AFXs worst tracks ever.

Play that too loud and you got tinitus fo sho.

Ahh, I beg to differ on that one. I especially like the high
tones in ventolin. Bought the remix ep too...

it's funny...every time someone types ICBYD i don't think "I
Care Beause You Do", but instead i think "I Could Buy You
Drugs" ... i wonder why...

anyway...I don't like ICCBYD much...maybe i need to listen
to it some more....

im not that keen on it-its very hit and miss. some of the
tracks are just too long-wet tip hen ax, ventolin, wax the
nip-not bothered about them. its a very incomplete album

Riccardo: Are you a Howie B fan? What do you think of Folk?

i fucking hate that alberto balsalm song. lacks emotion and
creativity, arrgghh!! ;)

Yeah, it's his best for me. Brave tracks that don't lose
the plot with boring DSP workouts. All the music demands
attention, as opposed to demanding praise for amount of
editing/fine tuning of reverb times etc. It's just great
music.

man, Ventolin was one of my favorite tracks on the album...I
know its not full of wonderful beats and genius blips, but
that is what attracted me so much to that song...the ability
it had to just slice your eardrums...the ability to piss off
EVERYONE within 20 ft.....

ahhh Richard is GOD.....

i thought FOLK was a total disappointment, jonesy...

....i think Ventolin is one of his best, and that ICBYD is
not that good

offline Archrival on 2002-04-05 13:00 [#00159050]

The Ventolin remixes ROCks, I like them much more than the
original version.

Those two EPS togheter is a nice buy.

HIGH PITCH NOIZE IS DANGEROUS FOR YOUR EARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BEWARE OR U END UP DEF LIKE MY UNCLE HOWIE.

The wagon christ one is robot funk at its best, clunky and
funky MMMmmmmm.

Ventolin is one of AFX's coolest trax man...

I think ICBYD is his second best (RDJ is number 1 for me). I
like Ventolin, but I always turn the stereo a bit down. I
played Ventolin, on a friend's stereo. My friend was sitting
in front of his computer, and when the song started, he
thought it was something wrong with his computer :)

jonesy: no I'm not a howie b great fan...I have turn the
dark off and it's good but that's all...I'm waiting folk to
be on sale before I buy it...never heard of snatch(my pic)
as well

and so far there is not dislikes what so ever!!

offline jonesy from Lisboa (Portugal) on 2002-04-05 16:27 [#00159414]

Riccardo: I bought Folk recently for £5. Its ok, but a bit
boring like Snatch. Turn the Dark Off is the only essential
one if you ask me. Though Music for Babies is also pretty
good.

I love ICBYD. I like how it keeps on changing (Icct Hedral
to Ventolin to Come on you Slags...) but it doesn't have the
in your face changing that Drukqs has (Not that I dislike
Drukqs in anyway). I think the album flows perfectly and it
does contain what perhaps is my favourite RDJ track
(Alberto).

thanx so much..I'm always worried when i want something like
that...I'm always a bit sure I will be disappointed...david
holmes is still my favourite in this genre...

IMO ICBYD showcases RDJ's vast range of musical talent
better than anything else he's released, and it is definetly
my favorite. I pretty much like all the tracks on it other
than Ventolin and Cow Cud. Not to mention it's got three of
my all time fav's: Alberto, Acrid, and Start.

offline jupitah from Minneapolis (United States) on 2002-04-05 17:43 [#00159512]

ICBYD might just be my favorite.

disk 2 is better than disk 1 although Ventolin has a special
place in my history. WHen I heard it for the first time it
was like the baddest sound I had ever heard. It felt lik
emusic in my head had been set free.

I love that album but I don't think it flows like an album
should. It lacks a cohesiveness (if that's a word) and just
seems to be a bunch of tracks put together to form an album.

offline SteveWardale from Lincoln (United Kingdom) on 2002-04-05 18:59 [#00159577]

For me, it's a good album, but I have to be honest, the only
songs I EVER listen to, and ever will are Acrd Avi jamshred,
Mookid, Alberto Balsalm and Cow Cud, with Cow Cud prolly
being the best out of them all. I couldn't really get into
the others, but it was worth it for those 4 :D.

I completely agree with thethirdball....as I've already said
Afx gives his better in short formats...

i hadnt listened to this album for ages and listened to it
again today. it didnt sound as amazing as it once did to my
ears :( i think drukqs is stronger, though im not sure a
lot of you would agree...

but acrid avid jamshred is still as excellent as it ever
was! it's still my fav aphex track today.

I think Drukqs is stronger... I prefer RDJ to this, but I'm
not overly keen on that either...

i played ventolin once in the warehouse where i had a job.
everyone kept looking up, wondering where that high pitched
sound came from. was nice

icarebecauseyoudo is a great album.

i have some trouble adjusting my ears to SAW I though,
sometimes i think some tracks tend to be a bit cheesy. (or
is it because he was too young?)

anyway, rich is God.
