Christmas is coming and I want to give unique presents this
time around. Maybe you guys can post some neat stuff that is
relatively affordable to give each other ideas this year.
But don't hesitate to post expensive stuff either as long as
it is interesting. Let it be books, gadgets, software or
whatever. Just be unique, interesting and cool.

Here's

Ingmar Bergman

and

Stanley Kubrick

Hi Mr Brazil, are you a beautiful lady?

If so, how come you are called Mr Brazil, not Mrs Brazil?

In addition, are you from Brazil?

Have a nice day!

x

i am giving my cousin the two films of jean-pierre jeunet
and marc caro: delicatessen and la cité des enfants perdus.
for his birthday i gave him stereolab - dots and loops and
tortoise - standards. he likes minimalism you should get
him something by terry riley.

I was born female but consider myself genderqueer. Am I
beautiful? I think so. Even more important, my girlfriend
thinks so.

The name Mr Brazil comes from a character my late brother
made up when we were teenagers. I can elaborate on that if
you're interested, but it's boring. Now Mr Brazil is sort of
my alter ego when I dress drag.

No, I'm not from Brazil. I live in America. I'm American.

My questions for you:
Who are you a dupe of? How long were you around before you
came up with Tractern? Is this new account an expression of
another side of your personality or are you just having a
laugh?

Last time I had a lot of cash someone had to stop me from
buying an R2D2 Projection system thingy.
As for finding you the links...youve got no chance.

Ah right, nice to get to know stuff about XL-ers. :)

If that's you in your avy, you're quite nice looking! Plus
it's a cool avy, what with the squiggles.

I ain't no dupe! :( Tractern is a name I made up for myself
in secondary school, when I was in Graphics class. I just
put my name on my work as Tractern Glovingtown. My friend
thought it was funny at the time, but it's not a very funny
story if you don't know my real name. It is quite similar to
my real name, actually.

Unfortunately for me, this is my true identity. But this is
the first forum I have joined and regularly contributed to,
which may explain my reactions to the things some people
say.

Yeah, elaborate on the Mr Brazil name.

Oh my no, that's the beautiful Renée Jeanne Falconetti from
the movie The Passion of Joan of Arc. One of my favorite
movies.

I don't know if you have something called Columbia House in
your country. If you don't, it's like a mail order thing for
CDs and movies or whatever. What you do is buy a few items
at an inflated price then you can get a few more at a
discounted price. It's really just a big scam I think. But
anyway, my brother would order stuff from them under the
name George Brazil so he wouldn't have to pay. I thought
that was real funny. We would make up scenarios for Mr.
Brazil to be apart of involving international intrigue and
other stuff. He would be responsible for the great mysteries
of the world or whatever. After my brother died I kind of
remembered this stupid thing we came up with and kind of
clung to it since we really didn't share much else. When I
started to drag, I used Mr. (George) Brazil as my
pseudonym.

So that's that.

I'm average intelligence at best, but thanks for thinking
there's more. I don't have much time to read nowadays. The
last thing I read was Tipping the Velvet, but this was ages
ago.

If you're reading the bible, try reading Robert Crumb's
illustrated Book of Genesis.

I like photo books like this also.

Sorry I can't help with real literature. But there you go!
