really? it looks like a slight update of the first one...

the graphics department

totally awesome.

I loved Cod4, but MW2 is completely ruined. Max 9v9 on PC?
no dedicated (clan run) servers? no console? I hope
nobody supports that shit.

the new Battlefield should fill any void left by MW2 when
it comes out

And there ends the argument of PCs vs. consoles.

Consoles are catered for better cos they are better.
Period.

Anyway, I am getting up early tmoz (7:30am, when I would
usually get up at 11am) to see if I can get mine from local
Sainsburys.

first two levels are brilliant, really pacey and well
designed. Get to level three and i think i've found out what
the controversy regarding the game's violence is about.

Nice to have Lance Henriksen's voice in there too.

on the castle/jail stage just now (reminds me of the movie
the rock), so far so fucking amazing, definitely lived up to
the hype, i can see why there is so much controversy with
the airport level, it is pretty brave of infinity ward to
have this in the game, really really disturbing, the games
set pieces are absolutely incredible and the multiplayer as
usual is absolutely top notch,

offline pantalaimon from Winterfell (United Kingdom) on 2009-11-10 04:19 [#02343405]

i tried the airport stage but didn't want to kill anyone and
it got to a point where i couldn't progress through the
level so i ended up skipping it.

The rest of the game is really good though, can't wait to
try split screen with mates

Single players a bit rubbish innit? One massive shooting
gallery with a Michael Bay story and production values. In
fact the story makes very little sense. The airport level
just seems completely at odds with the rest of the game.

Multiplayer is the bomb diggety though.

storyline does make no sense at all and the gameplay is a
bit repetitive after a while but still enjoyed the game
loads+ it had more than a few surprises. But the
disorientating intensity of it all wears off after the first
few levels and it begins to seem a bit thin but it's still
the best game i've played in a good while.

when i played COD4 i had flashbacks of Multimedia CD games.
i felt like a subservient onlooker occasionally clicking a
few buttons whilst all the action happened around me. the
multiplayer was a good crack however, but not enough to
swing the game in my favor. from what i can gather, i dont
think i'll be missing out too much by not playing this.

i have never been to fussed on modern warfare single player
campaign, it is great yes but its the multiplayer that is
its greatest feature, i was still playing cod4 online right
up until an hour before i qued up before the midnight
release of modern warfare 2,

No, man, I'm not complaining!
Ooh, no...! :D

Game looks good to me, though. I'm still waiting for THE
game with Uncharted 2s graphics and a story comparable to
MGS1, with a 'big talk', like the ending of MGS2 with the
AIs. Why oh why did Kojima drop the whole deal with the
Wisemans Commitee...
