Haven't a clue. I reckon they're a bit overpriced though, at least over here in the UK. Especially without any bonus audio.
Even so, I put all my older Kraftwerk CDs up on Discogs today. Not expecting much interest but it's worth a go.

Review by Uncut.co.uk:
"Sadly, the remaster is a fiasco. The soft tones of “Computer Love” become sharp, the wide spaces of “Home Computer” contract into tunnels, and “Pocket Calculator” bears down on us like a spiked ceiling in a horror film. Equally poor is the remastered Radio-activity, where atmospheric crackles and hisses have been removed by noise reduction software. For pity’s sake, they’re part of the music! Autobahn, Trans-Europe Express and The Man-Machine have less sound-quality issues, but are all inferior to the original EMI CDs. Anyone planning to buy the 8CD …The Catalogue, would be well-advised to sample an individual remaster first."

I'm going to see if the Radioactivity one is as bad as this guy claims. Polar reviews are to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Wait, but this is Ralf's remaster project, not something imposed by a braindead executive. This must be how he wanted it to sound.
Still, I'm going to listen to an older version and see if it's better...

I think this man tastes shit every time he talks, because he's talking out of his arse. I'm listening to the Radio-Activity remaster and it has removed some of the hiss and crackles, and increased the bass a bit, and it all sounds well. But this man obviously didn't want a remaster, he wanted a reprint.

FWIW I just downloaded the old version and gave it a listen. It's fantastic and makes me question what needed to be fixed. Nothing, really. It wasn't broken. But the new one sounds more filled out and lush, and I can't say I miss the tape hiss.

I stand by Kraftwerk, and Radio-Activity is one of the best albums (and song) that I have ever heard. The interviewer just seems like one of those people who won't allow art to be retouched, even if it is by the original artist. I don't see what he's so unhappy about either, Ralf Hütter didn't come round the interviewer's house and piss on the originals he still owns.

The Mix/Minimum-Maximum version of Radioactivity is sublime, the Minimum-Maximum version especially, where it transforms from the original into The Mix version.

I've seen reviews that characterise their live shows are "boring" because they don't move on stage. Did expect to see Kraftwerk the band, or Kraftwerk the dance troupe extraordinaire.

I went to a Nightwish concert with a girl (I was a tagalong, I don't know any of their songs,) and everyone in this crowd was wearing the t-shirt, wearing the matted and oily hair, but not one of them would move to the music. Even I moved to the music, and I didn't and still dont't know them.

It got me out of the house, and out of this town - a good enough reason to even go and see Cliff Richard, and by see I mean go to London and not go anywhere near the venue, and by going to London but not going anywhere near the venue I mean stay at home.
