I'm sure Halloween's getting less commerical every year. In
my bid to buck the trend I've decided to promote it early
via a SPOOKY PLAYLIST I am playing on Internet Radio

It's that simple, that's the concept.

Keep fighting the good fight, sir!

this track is beautiful... wonderful strings.

Do you have a set-list planned or will you be "winging"
this? Please post track names if it's not too much trouble.

Again (but for the first time in this thread), thank you!

Sorry, it wasn't very spooky was it? I thought I had more
spooky tracks, and was loath to "drop" any Conet Project.

I think what Jivver's asking about I did actually once send
him, those tracks namely being Pinno Donaggio's music for
Brian de Palma films, the "horror" one being "Bucket of
Blood" from Carrie, and the more ethereal one being "Body
Double" from my favourite film , err, Body Double. The
sleeve art is the sort of thing I thik Atwood might like.
After that there was "Ghosts" by David Sylvian or at a
stretch "Wet Asteroid" from The Tomorrow People soundtrack,
but I can't imagine you were asking for that one.

Lovely ears you people have, all clean, not like mine, all
funksty.

Is the sleeve art from Body Double much like the poster ?
I LOVED that you played the electrician.Spot on.Very
atmospheric, also you included Thrill Kill Kult,And This is
what the Devil Does, which of course I only know thanks to
you.
:)

Sorry, I lost the plot with this now one I accidently wiped
the playlist. DOH!

Body Double as well as being a RED HOT film has a
Red hot poster, the compilation album has a nice pic as
well.

The Electrician's spooky. The Thrill Kill Kult are camp and
spooky.

I'd better plan these things better but it was Spur of the
Moment.

Sorry yoyoyo and any other idulgent ears that were left
hanging. Indeed there was a black out, no attendant coup
d'etat but you can't have everything. I think it was the
power company's way of telling me to shut up before I
disgraced myself, and music, further.

A proper Halloween mix would be ace, sorry as I say
yesterday I just suddenly thought (ok I was inspired) to do
a Halloween playlist... but big mistake I didn't think it
through

I think people could make GOOD halloween mixes, maybe we
could have it as an Informal XLT Project? Have them
to download, maybe play them over Halloween on the radio as
well? A GOOD IDEA?

At the minute I've just got the "no alarms and no suprises"
playlist going.

Lovely stuff. Hooked up to the big speakers this time. I've
EQ'd it on the mixer for extra bass. Hoping the fuse doesn't
blow...

I was just reminded of an album called "Summercamp
Nightmare" featuring a song called "Halloween" which, if I
had any sort of idea where to begin creating a good mix, I
would probably include as an awkward tribute to my rock
n' roll
days. With a bit of luck, we'll see plenty of
submissions for the Xltralloween mix-off. Let us celebrate
the undeath of Xltronic, one and all!
