Plaid has been a bit like that for me.
It kinda says 'I know everything is a bit rubbish, but it's okay' to me. Kinda cos it is beautiful and ethereal and all encompasing, but substantial and real and almost tangible, too.
Plaid is really good. Listening to Double Figure now.
So what music has saved your life?

one time some shady dudes were approaching me in a dark alley. luckily i had my ghetto blaster on me and my autechre mix tape. i hit play when i saw them coming and i think the fucked up beats scared them away. next day i learned that in almost that exact same place a person was mugged and killed later that night

hey man, just think of all the people listening to shit music.
At least you are trying to create something truly and genuinely beautiful and different. And at least you appreciate what it is complex and real and different in the first place.
Chin up, fella!

Yes!
That's the song I wanted to bring up in the Plaid thread as my fave track by Plaid.
Speshially like it cos it reminds me of the American Beauty OST. It is funny that they came out the same year, too... :/
Beautiful, subtly powerful track. Kinda reagal, too.

Yeah, I might.
I have been meaning to. Do you like Sugarcubes? Or maybe Sugar Cubes? It is Bjork with others in a band. It might be a bit like kate Bush, maybe. You'll prolly recognise this song by them. It is pretty much a celebration of life IMO and I like it a lot. It evokes a lot of emoticons in me when I listen. :)

Anyway, you just have to tell us which song saved your life, not the circumstances under which the life saving occurred. You don't have to relay a story, although it would be nice. :)
