Not just as a track but as a political stand? What do you
think of Kofi Annans assertion that this could be the 'Band
aid for the internet generation'

original is better. by so much it's retarded. and i don't
even really like midnight oil. but goddamn, this version
makes my dick want to sever itself and stuff itself down my
throat. First time I saw M.O. was on SNL back in the day
and I was impressed by the enthusiasm of teh singer.

I think I recognised pretty much everyone in Band Aid. The
fact that these artists have to have their names listed
under their faces, and I still don't know who they are, I
think makes this the ideal project for the Internet
Generation. Does that make me from the Band Aid generation,
or just old?

I only recognised Marion Cotillard because she was excellent
in the Edith Piaf film (La Vie En Rose?) and Public Enemies
and she is gorgeous.

The rest I needed the names for and even then I only knew
two so I guess it isn't age but rather that most of these
people are awful.

There you have it Kofi Annan, a thumbs down from XLTronic.
Though I have to say the bit of you rapping at the begining
was the best part.

Maybe if they'd covered Men at Work's "Down Under" it might
have been more fun, at least they had two hits to Midnight
Oil's one.

Personally I'd give it one thumb for the inclusion of
Youssou N'dour, and the superfluous addition of Milla
Jovovich.

And how many of our celebrities (even the ones some of us
have never heard of) are going to potentially harm their
careers by doing that?
