What's the best New Order song?

Within a short period of time I've heard two unrelated
people I respect say "Age of Consent" is the best song. I
think "Ceremony" is by far the best. What say you?

(I know Ceremony is technically a Joy Division song)

is age of consent the one where he signs off saying ".. so
why don't you piss off?", i like that a lot. i like all the
early stuff but i think they just got better and better, I
love "World" off of Republic, personal fave on there is
"Special", songs that are Joy Division / NO "Dreams Never
End", classic New Order "Thieves Like Us"... too many ... I
am going to stick my cock out and say "World" is their best
song.

Haha, damn, that is a memorable line isn't it.. I
thought that was track three off my CD version though.. not
1 (Age of Consent)

I'm probably wrong, I'll be lucky if it's off of ...jesus
what the name of the album... Power Corruption etc... but
that song I like. Is Age of Consent the more... there's no
point me wondering, my copy's 7000 miles from here. But that
song i like a lot.

OK so it's track 1 on side 2 "Your Silent Face"

A thought that never changes
Remains a stupid lie
It's never been quite the same
No hearing or breathing
No movement, no colors
Just silence

Rise and fall of shame
A search that shall remain
We asked you what you'd seen
You said you didn't care

Sound formed in a vacuum
May seem a waste of time
It's always been just the same
No hearing or breathing
No movement no lyrics
Just nothing

The sign that leads the way
The path we can not take
You've caught me at a bad time
So why don't you piss off

Age of Consent always sounded much more Joy Division-y to
me. (I acknowledge the idiocy of this comment). Anyway I
like the one you're referring to also. Here it is
LAZY_ORDER (not sure I quite understand the landscape
slideshow)

Bizarre Love Triangle is vastly overplayed on the mix
stations around here but I have to agree with you darius
that it's certainly a strong contender.

Good link, odd landscapes, but THE POWER OF THE SONg

I think I get confused because the LP I had it wasn't clea
which was side a or b, and me being a bit... bluurgh, got
confused. And that "Confusion" (New Order's worst song)
remains to this day.

I must be getting soft in my old age. I like the video
aspect. Sorry.

I dunno, maybe Dreams Never End. The first album is sharp
but sounds so nervous and unsure of itself, it's so cute.

The landscapes do work better than they should. I just
never would have thought to put landscapes with a New Order
song. But that's my problem, not the video's. The world
needs more softies instead of insecure little tits like me
too embarrassed to admit they like seeing beautiful scenery
while listening to New Order.

Woah, I wasn't saying anything, my initial reaction was "The
fucking twat who uploaded this couldn't just leave the damn
song without adding a freaking slideshow..." and then, as I
say, my mushed brain slipped into "... pretty pictures.
Cool". Stay Hardcorde, Uviol, don't give in to Corporate
Stock Photography. Although there is some highly sexual
aesthetic going on there but my unhinged thoughts and piss
thin volcabulary prevents me from articulating that that is
only half baked in my torched toilet of a brain.

Haha that's the second time this week you've successfully
managed to elicit two genuine, hearty laughs-out-loud from
me simply by your strategic use of the word toilet. The
first had to do with your mother-in-law's toilet seat, I
believe.

I'm sure that Corporate Stock Photography was intended to be
displayed large-format in break rooms with captions like
"Confidence" and the like, so in a way pairing it with New
Order is a work of subversion.
