Don't make fun of Jelly neck posting him in drag.
I liked the music though.

it's so sad actually... my brother had put in the cd, told me the story when i asked who it was, we both laughed, looked up her picture on the net, laughed harder, then actually read something on a blog.... amazing story ruined within 20 seconds.

I guess i'd play this I was in the mood for mildly boring hushed minimal sounds.
Some of Jelinek's stuff is pretty good though.

not necessarily this thread, and not really really sad. it's just: fun arguments between friends (what's that movie called where this one actor does this and then that, and then poop), everything about myths and fun lies... are destroyed far too easily by using google imo. This music is nice, but imagine believing the story about supernerdy bedroom producer Ursula Bogner for years, having a warm feeling of listening to something beautifully obscure from the past... it would add a new dimension to the music... now it's just a bunch of free mp3s by Jan Jelinek, blending with the rest of your 50+GB of music files... which doesn't kill the music, but takes away the magic.

maybe the magic would not so easily be lost if old jellyneck hadn't posted that picture of himself dressed like rose west

fair enough, but i wouldn't blame google the internet for making music so accessible, especially if you speak with a friend about what's that movie called where this one actor does this and then that, and then poop. you make a search, which is not always bad, cos sometimes it requires to follow some path based on your musical/whateva knowledge and your intuition, then you find what you were looking for and bang, the sweet memory arise.
also i didn't search intentionally for the gossip you're talking about, nor i read with particular attention the text on boomkat, so i'm left with the benefit of the doubt about the music i'm listening to until i read your last post, which doesn't influence me anyway.
if i just trust my ears, despite the usual bag of crap that you have to filter while picking something from the web, i would say that these tracks have indeed a familiar feeling, they are truly fun and haunting like they promise with no damage whatsoever, that's why i downloaded them.

with all due respect i would add that if you perceive music as something indissolubly connected to the form, you're looking for the magic in the wrong places. but that's for me, another might think the opposite, another a middle way through and so on

to summarize, its knowing that you're not giving it a chance that takes away the magic. finish'd
