Bibio - Ambivalence Avenue

I like it, although I've never heard of Bibio before. In
this time of Animal Collective and Panda Bear being the most
progressive thing that mainstreams independent music has to
offer, Bibio is a welcome diversion. Ambivalence Avenue is
an unlikely mix of sunshine Americana and edgy, melodic idm
and it grows on repeated listening. You have some really
nice nostalgic treats here that evokes memories of
everything from Neil Young to Supertramp AND Nick Dracke.
The production is brilliant in its roughness and the tunes
are both beautiful and often a good laugh. Bibio sounds a
lot like he could be Jim Noir's cooler, more sophisticated,
American cousin. Cheers!

yeah i got it on vinyl the other day, i listened to it twice
in one day.

i usually don't like listening to a track more than once in
a day, but this stuff is good. album felt a little short
though. looking forward to more
