How long does it take you to complete a track Staz? Your recordings like glitch everynow and then i think from converting from tape ti digital maybe?
Yeah these all have an analord/ceephax sound to them, you dont actually own all those synths you use in your songs do you, i can hear like maybe a moog but the drum machines and bassline synth?

err, yes, i own them. that's why i never have any money, y'know.
these tracks were all conceived relatively fast, as that's half the point, really. very much just about live trickery and having a good time recording them.
and yeah, the glitching is mostly because the tape deck is horrid. them's the breaks.

yeah, the kind of faint/warm string synth in the last half of "Dubacle" sounds a lot like the synth on Goodbye Rute to me.

well, it's an old synth, so the classic 'basic waveform' sound is always something i loved... aphex is really fond of that as well, as well as a load of other artists. nothing really beats it for me, even the more 'digital' works i enjoy usually utilize the more basic synthesis ideas like that. shit, even stuff like go plastic carries that sound to some extent. luv luv.

You have a good sense of organizing entertaining sound. I only listened to the first RAR so FAR. It would be nice if I knew how to do any slightly interesting melody quality things like the 'acid' or whatever sound effect dealies, but I was put off having to dick around with stupid software gizmos in fruity loops you practically have to pirate to get working correctly that need 15 tutorials to figure out how to use all in an annoying interface that isn't fun to bother with.

u should use zshare, then it wouldn't take forever to download. I like the melody parts better than the drums, but maybe I'm just more into melody lately even though melody seems to be only loosely based on any sort of math and instead based on weird psychology or something I never understand. Like A minor is supposed to be different than c major? Please, they're the same keys asshats. The whole concept of a scale seems rather dumb other than maybe the human brain can handle 7 separate things better than 12 maybe. But oh yeah, lets just skip 2 keys here then 1 here then 2 again.. sure why not, nice and arbitrary. Then of course you watch youtubes of people who know how to play the piano and they seem to ignore all 'music theory' and press anything they want. Or something. Writing is dumb.

The drums seem afterthoughty, copy pasty, but function well enough I guess. Maybe extra base notes of some sort might sound better to keep rhythm instead of percussion.
