can you in your sequencer map vst plugin parameters ( delay
mix level, reverb feedbk etc ) to other vst parameters?

so when you move a parameter, in real time you can automate
other parameters?

.........that is the question.

its easy to map an external midi controller to a pan or mute
....but maping a pan or mute to say ...a reverb plugin mix
level !? :/ ?!

well, in ableton live you can copy/paste an envelope, so in
there yes. you record the automation of one parameter,
highlight/select the envelope on the track, go to edit/copy
envelope, select the new device and or parameter, click on
the time you want the envelope to start and edit/paste
envelope. now that envelope will control the new parameter.

doh, missed that you want to do it all in real time. you
can map controllers to multiple devices/parameters so that
your knob, fader, mouse will control all the ones you
mapped. i know how to do it in live, in other programs i
could figure it out but would have to look it up.

hi

yeah to map the internal plugin parameters ( mix level ,
feedback sliders etc) to other vst parrameters in real time.

preferablly not converting to midi then back to vst.

in cubase you have what is called "generic remote device"
for mapping midi to vst .....but there is no vst to vst
mapping that i can see!??!

in bidule you can do it very easy, click the "parameters"
button, choose source on left side, destination on right
side, click "link" and it`s done. awesome feature i must
say, this way you can also control via midi cc anything you
want.

I'm not surprised that this is not doable in almost all
DAWs. It is a weird request, and a weird way of flow. The
problem I see with it is that, for example, you are
instantly binding the range of one parameter to another, if
there were a way to scale the response that would be cool. I
think it would make even more sense to map a midi control
through both parameters, but then to scale one differently.
There are pure midi plugins that can do this:
http://www.asseca.com/nicfit/

try the cc scaler, or try midiMunGui5, it is the most
versitile midi changing vst that I know, it is based off of
an awesome synthedit module called MidiMunger. It can do all
kinds of filtering, scaling and remapping.

It's easily done in Ableton racks.
