I finally got the key, and just played, and it is wicked for
as far as it's a beta! I like how it has a levelling system
now, keeps you hooked on gaining new experience points and
strength, and it's great that they totally kept in the ol'
BF1942 gameplay. Although the stealthy options of the
National Army (red & black) is kind of annoying to fight
against... it seems to last longer than the temporary shield
of the Royal Army (Blue & Yellow). If that makes any
sense..

GET THE GAME!

I have a beta key and have played it a few times...I'm being
thrown out of the game every 5-7 minutes, though and that's
pretty irritating. I'm using IE7. I tried using firefox but
then the controlls didn't work at all and the graphics were
skippy... I like the game as long as it works, it's good ol'
fun.

I read on their news bull that a lot of people had troubles
being disconnected all the time, so they must be trying to
fix that right about now. Firefox works fine here though.

Wait, does this game have to be played within a browser?

It plays half in browser, but it also needs to install some
stuff on your pooter

yuck, I don't like browser-based gaming. :( I guess I'll
probably still give this a try, but I haven't had good
experiences with browser-based games more complex than
tetris in the past.

i know what you mean... the game itself is actually
clientside, but i guess only the menu and 'lobby' are
browser based. Sorry if it seems confusing at first, but it
is for me too. I played it again today and noticed what's
client side and what's browserbased. Basically you log on
and see your stats and get into a server to play in the
browser, and start the game from your own hdd.
