For all the electronic old men, this is THE Deus Ex
thread.

Which is your favourite? The first, or the second? Why?

I can't wait for the third.

I love the music in the first game.

Deus Ex is like my favorite game ever, despite the shitty
A.I. everything else in it is perfect and currently i seem
to replay it about every 6 months. fuck, i love that game.
the sequel was a good game in its own right but not a worthy
successor; far too watered down and arcade-y compared to the
original. the plot thing with the sequel was a fuggy mess.
i did also like the music in the first tho. deus ex 3 will
be crap probably most likely.

much love.

Deus Ex 1 despite it's MANY shortcomings blew the hell out
of the original Half Life. Deus Ex 2 was kind of fun and
introduced some new characters... BUT IT STARTED FROM THE
SHITTIEST ENDING IF THE FIRST ONE!!

Oh and 3 will only be good if it revamps the first with more
possible endings and makes you kill everyone from the second
one.

yeeeeesh, how could it possibly be any more watered down
after the second one!

Are there any other cyberpunk-games I should get my hands
on?

Not necessarily related to Deus Ex,

But,

'B12', 'The Higher Intelligence Agency' and early 'Biospere'
has that sci-fi/cyberpunk feel I love.

"Void/Comm", "Practopia", "Patashnik" (the track), "Skank".

Even though Cyberpunk's all about the future, it's very
retro.

The game "Snatcher" is pretty cyberpunkish. Though you'll
need to get a Sega CD emulator working.

Also the gameplay is not similar to Deus Ex, it is an old
Japanese point and click type of game.

idle interloper: Ah, yes, Snatcher! An old game by Hideo
Kojima, if I'm not mistaken?

surgery: Allrighty, I'll check it out!
