R U getting R C with us? I have haunted castles on my mp3 player, it pops up now and then and I love it cuz it reminds me of playing on the Amiga.
I'm downloading this now; it will take forever cuz I'm stuck on 56k at the moment.

This is brilliant, but the intro is a complete downer. Have you considered loosing the Radio 4 sample and releasing this under a Creative Commons licence? Perhaps using NetLabels.org to advertise it and hosting it on Archive.org? You'd get a load more people listening to it than the 5 downloads you'll get on here. Maybe it would be worth looking for a similar established net label you could release it on, that is if you didn't want to register your site as one. Maybe e-mail Simon@Archive.org and ask him about starting a collection there.
The artwork is a little lacklustre. You could have scouted Deviant Art and commissioned someone to make some sort of 3D'd retro computer game ghosts ascending into a black sky with pixelated neon stars or something.
Anyway, I really like this one, I can't listen to the first track though.

Maybe you could send it to Earstroke or BitCrusher. Earstroke would probably be best. I don't know tho.

F-ing brilliant.
"The substance", I love that evil theme.

Agreed.
Anyways, great work, man.

Yeah, I like The Substance, too. The others are progressive, but this track is instantly cool. :)
As everyone has already said, this is cool. Nice work!

haunted castles
I like the crazy sounds on this, but I would have liked it to have continued when it ended. The end bit sounded cool. But then again, maybe less it more, I guess. Overall I liked that one, too.
Now to listen to 'sleep easy'...

... I like it already. It is my favourite track on the EP. However, it's not as relaxing as I thought it would be, going on the title...

Oh, and the start reminded me of the first track on Bounds Green. I love Bounds Green.
Sleep Easy is a journey. I really enjoyed it. Thank you. I'm gonna re-listen now.
I thought the fading out at the end was a little lazy, though this is a very minor point. The end is strong enough for it not be faded out. It has a conclusiory feel already.

Yeah, it is a strong track, but maybe not the best for the first track on the EP...

Just for the record, posting on xlt can be quite fruitful.. I have gotten up towards 100 downloads on spams here.
Most tracks get around 40 separate ips from xlt.

yikes, i thought this thread died ages ago thanks for the comment guys! glad you like it.
re: uploading to xltronic - i do it because the opinions here are very blunt and honest. people are used to listening to the best, so even a slightly favourable review means a lot.
anything i write at this point i consider to be mostly a learning experience- just enjoy doing it. maybe my next one, or the one after, will be good enough to consider doing something with! or maybe not, heh.
