Do you have any nice house plants?

I keep buying plants, but I over/ under water them and they
die. Please give me the name of a low maintenance, but
attractive looking plant, so I can buy one. It doesn't have
to have flowers, but I don't really want a cactus. My friend
suggested an aloe, but I'd like a few other ideas before I
commit.

FANKS! :D

you can get em in a gazillion forms,

talk to it and play it some music.
it will thankfully reward you with oxygen!
also hose it down every year so it feels pretty and comfy
too.

Datura stramonium is such a creepy looking plant, I like it.
Just make sure its legal where you live and trust me, don't
eat it :P

haha!

OK, firstly this looks too expensive for me to afford in the
first place.

Secondly, it looks like it requires a lot of maintenance, so
it would die within a few days of being in my room.

Thirdly, it reminds me of the ghost orchid in the film
Adaptation. It's a great film, I would thoroughly,
thoroughly reccomend it. They take the flower in powder form
as a drug too, as I imagine you are implying one does with
that flower you are talking about. :)

Also, don't worry- I don't tend to eat flowers, hehehe. :D

i've got a rose of jericho in my room, its a middle eastern
plant that does not need water, you give some to it when you
want and if you feel in a patient mood you can watch it
slowly open and show its hearth to you.

it does look like a heart LAZY_TITLE

recently that sometimes plants explode.

If you over feed a venus flytrap, does that kill it? I think
someone told me that once.

Also, most small and medium sized cacti make good house
plants. In sunlit areas especially. Yucca was a good
suggestion. I think ferns need a lot of watering, but
filling a covered porch or sunroom with them would make
things pretty interesting.

I do have a conservatory, so that might be a good place for
a plant, yeah. Good suggestion!

And... how did you know I had a conservatory? *looks round
suspiciously*

And when allowed to dry, it sinks back into a long deep
sleep, only to be awakened again when moistened. Known to
keep pests at bay, it also draws moisture, odours and smoke
from the air to keep the room fresh.

Sounds pretty awesome! I might try to get my hands on one o'
these. :)

didn't know all those qualities, good. all i know is that it
asks really little attention, maybe too little if you're
looking for smth that occupies your time. if you clean your
room/house once in a week/+ for example, giving some water
to its roots might be a little (more) incentive to your day.

I eat flowers, I eat lots of stuff I find outside... You
have to nibble from your surrounding area to fully
understand the energy around you.

haha!

Reading that made me laugh, but I also agree with it a
little. I am not going to eat flowers, thereby destroying
their kami , though. :) But I am not someone who
believes they can hear grass screaming when it is cut. hehe.

No, I ain't looking for something that occupies time, so
that's not a problem. I like things that add incentive to my
day :) Give me a reason to get up in the morning. haven't
got a girlfriend, so I can have a Rose of jericho to enrich
my life instead, lol.
