Poor and Happy

Just typign to say that I poor, but happy. I am having a
bottle of wine, then going out to town with the awkard
subway girl and her gay friend and my black mate. I'll be
drunk before I get there, so I won't have tp spend much
money. (I only mention that one of the people I am going out
with is gay and one is black, cos you'll never meet them and
I can create an image in your head of what they're like.
Though not a very good image)

Hope you're as poor and happy as me and that you have a good
weekend, peoples!

:D

I'm working on a short film. My weekend has been great so
far.

And yeah, I'm poor, too.

That's really cool!

I think being creative is the only thing that is stimulating
my mind right now. It is cool because it is different all
the time and it's free! :D Also very rewarding when you're
finished and people say it's good/ lifechanging.

I like films a lot- what is your film on? Could you link me
to anything you have made in the past?

Unfortunately I don't have any material on the net, but I'm
thinking of uploading the film once it's finished.

It will probably be around 15-20 minutes long, and it's a
kind of conspiracy-sci-fi-thriller, with some humor thrown
in for good measure.

I've been on a creative streak for the last two weeks or
so.

If I'm not messing around with music, I focus my attention
on the film. I just feel I have to do something. :)

OK, both, if you like.

That's a shame. Link me when you have made the movie,
though. Are you a Film student, or do you just do it for
fun?

DOesn't sound like the kind of film I usally watch, but it
does bring Douglas Adams to mind, which is good. Though he
focused quite a lot on humour.

You "must do something", indeed! Being creative is probably
the most enjoyable thing I regularly do. I don't do it in as
many media as I would like to, though. I should draw stuff
more...

Film student.

Well, the film was supposed to be inspired by an album
called "On the Threshold of a Dream" by Moody Blues (from
the early 70s). Let's say it's ... loosely inspired. Rather
I got the impulse from the cd. :D

My ambition was to make as much as I could manage with the
time and money (zero) I had.

And I tell you, it's ALOT of elements involved in making a
film. You have to be two steps ahead, all the time.

So what do you do, Tractern?

Sounds scary.

Does your penis move involuntarily, or can you speak with a
harsh voice, saying: "down, boy, down?"

Does it do what you say?

Sorry, I went next door, to see when we were going.

That sounds cool. I haven't that album by the moody blues.
But I prolly should. I am looking forward to seeing it, when
it's completed, your film. :)

From what I've heard, Film is a diffult medium to work in,
yes. Requires a lot of expertise and stuff. More than other
media. It quite practicial, which is probably the only thing
I don't like about it. I prefer mental stuff.

I like fine Art and poetry .

I also like music. I play tabla too. Though not as
often as I would like to. I have a balafon too, but I
can't say that I know how to play it. I like pretty much all
the arts. :)

Do you play any acoustic instruments, or do you just use
electronic means of making music?

Moody blues is prog rock. Personally that particular album
doesn't do much for me.

Oh, you have a deviant art. I have one, but no pics
uploaded. I never seem to get a hang on how my scanner
works. Hm, Balafon. Have you heard of jegog? It's
balinese, and insanely beautiful.

Unfortunately I only use the computer for music making.
Though I'd love to be able to play the
saxophone.

I don't have a job. I think you are lucky to have a 25 hour
per week job. No one in my house does.

I am really bad with money too, since I used to have an
awesome job, so am still in that kinda mind set. Saying
though, it's not as if I buy big, expensive luxuries. just
have a certain level of quality control over the food i buy.
so its all the little things tat add up.

i'll work over the summer though and pay my overdraft off.
then things will be ok. i hope... :)

Not bad night.

Had a Subway sandwich and didn't have an argument with
awkward subway girl, so that was good. The sandwich wasn't
as good as the last one I had, though. the salad was too
limp and warm.

Went to some rather expensive places, which cost £6 and
£10 to get in. Obviously this isn't bad if it's a good
night, but when I got in I didn't realise where that money
went. The DJs weren't great and even if they were, they
aren't really skilled people. Just playing records.

Wan't that bad though, cos I got a few drinks and didn't pay
for any of them. I'm gonna owe my mate a lot of drinks when/
if I become more financially comfortable.

Pretty fun night, fanks for asking Freqs. :)

What about you, fella?

And what did others get up to; AphexAcid, yoyoyoyo?

I have had a few promotional jobs. They pay really well, but
are sometimes purely commission based and work isn't
regular- you have to keep pestering them to get your next
bit of work.

I don't really spend that much on food...

This whole experience has made me understand the value of
money quite a bit. A good lesson in life, I think. Something
as trivial buying a sandwich from a newsagent will be
something I will appreciate when I have money again.
