article

Foreign minister Yang Jiechi has stated, “Miss Cyrus has
made it clear she is no friend of China or anyone of East
Asian descent. We have no interest in further polluting our
children’s minds with her American ignorance.”

GOoOOOOO CHINA!

privately, the foreign minister was reported as saying:

no, we don't care about stupid photo. she is obviously
having fun with friends, context of photo is friendly and
unidentified Asian American boy seems to be having good
time. we just think music is very stupid and look
for an excuse not to let her in.

sorry i know its a bit acidic but there is a valid point in
there. racism is becoming such a catch all card. it is
supposed to be when someone thinks their race is superior
and dislikes other races, or commits hate crimes against
other races. it is not about doing something insensitive,
either out of ignorance or harmless jest.

also, everyone realizes the weekly world news is a joke
tabloid, right? the photo and certain groups getting upset
is real, but i don't think she was really banned from china,
was she?

While we're at it, let's ban all of the Fail-Mart prefab
music groups!
