Can't believe the amount of hype for this film, am I the
only person who doesn't even think it looks all that good? I
haven't seen it yet but not sure I really want to...

I thought Happy Go Lucky was a decent film, not his best
though. I didn't think it was a feel good movie, its pretty
dark.

Also Slumdog Millionaire is set in India, the kid is brought
up in the slums... are Indians born with an ability to speak
good English? Can slum dwellers afford English lessons?

I hate films pretending to be something they aren't, in this
case gritty and realistic, if your going to do that go all
the way, not just in bits and pieces.

Its like drissle, either rain or don't... fuck this
in-between shit!

rant over

Usless pricks

It's a good film. Not the great heart warming story it is
touted at but still really good.

The way the story is told is superb. The main character is
on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and his life story is told
through flashbacks showing how he knows the answer to each
question. The film juxtaposes normal human moments of comedy
with the brutality of living in a world where the only way
to make money is to do terrible things really well.

The kid doesn't speak English when he's young but picks it
up and hones it while working as a tea boy in a call centre.

Oh and I had no interest in it before I sat down to watch
it. I'd recommend checking it out.

When the guy with the rage virus stumbles onto the set of
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and starts biting people, it
is a TRIUMPH.

I saw this movie about a week ago.
Seriously, the hype is undeserved. In fact Im having trouble
understanding why its getting the response it is. My only
guess is because its foreign and was shot with a low
budget... well really its not so foreign as its an entirely
British production, directed by Danny Boyle.

Anyways, as far as the actual movie is concerned, without
revealing any spoilers, its pretty much a never ending
series of unrealistic cliches. Within 15 minutes of
watching you already know exactly whats going to happen
because youve seen it before in countless other movies.

I saw it... I thought it was pretty predictable and over
directed but not entirely bad. Overhyped is right.
