Well, take a look at this video on youtube..

LAZY_TITLE

its long and all but interesting..

but to give a summary for those who dont watch it, he
basically says he sees the us becoming more and more
totalitarian, and that theres is an increasing amount of
police brutality with soft punishment for the cops
involved..

so im asking americans and non americans alike, could the us
become totalitarian at some point?
theres been A LOT of talk about the nwo, police, government,
and how all this ties in with history, 911, and foreign
policy.
im still very confused about what to make of all this.

right now to me it seems like the police brutality episodes
are mostly rogue cops who are violent and stupid, and that
this has no ties to any totalitarian things..

and with obama coming in, people arguing socialism is coming
to the us bigtime, well its all very confusing.
it also seems like this is one of the most important eras of
human history, like never seen before..
and with the resource and financial crisis, it seems like
this isnt the best time to just be a regular unprotected
civilian walking about..

what do you all think is going to happen? is doomsday a
realistic view?

you wouldn't believe the kinds of people they let become
cops here. i don't know if theres an eventual totalitarian
u.s. on the horizon but we should stop allowing sociopaths
with an ego complex to wear badges and carry guns. its
scary.

Totalitarianism is the least of our worries, and not a
certain thing as of yet. The thing we have to worry more
about is a New World Order, and believe me, it's coming
unless we fight hard to stop it. This is no conspiracy
theory... they ARE working towards it.

The issue of police brutality comes from a number of
sources: the inability to fund good police training so cops
know their limits, the bureaucratic inefficiency of local,
state, and federal law "prevention" organizations, and lack
of the American People's knowledge of the constitution and
THEIR rights as citizens.

just a couple notes:

yeah theres some bad cops, but there are a lot of good ones
too. I worked at a pizza place for 9 years where a lot of
cops came for dinner and made a lot of conversation with
them. They're people too. I feel that generally if you treat
them like a an actual person rather than an enemy they'll
reciprocate. One of them even let me off for (minor)
speeding since he recognized me from the restaurant.

I don't think America is anywhere close to a police state.
If you're an honest, good person, with a little luck you'll
live an honest, good life here (current economic issues
aside). People, especially people from foreign countries
tend to make it sound so much worse than it is.

Regarding the incident in Oakland: yeah, that cop seems like
a bad seed. Bad seeds are everywhere, in every profession
and I hope he gets whats coming to him
...BUT: I'd also like to point out the hypocrisy of the
situation... OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA has been in previous years
the MURDER CAPITAL of the entire United States. It is still
a ghetto and it is still a dangerous place to live.

I find it hypocritical that so many should take to rioting
in the streets over one officer involved shooting, when they
shed so much of each others blood by their own hands, daily.
It's just something to note.

Henry Kissinger this past week on CNBC basically said that
with the new Obama admin. coming in now is a good time to
push through a New World Order.

Quite honestly, when stuff like this gets said on National
Television I have a hard time with people still claiming
it's a conspiracy.

It's hard to pinpoint as to what extent I feel I believe at
this time. I will say that now as opposed to a couple of
years ago that I am leaning towards the Alex Jones, David
Icke, Steven Quayle crowd. Pretty much, I can't discount
anything. I am definitely skeptical on a lot of things, but
as time moves on I can see anything as being "possible."

Youtube Lindsey Williams. I am only vaguely familiar with
him, but in July of '08 when gas was $147 dollars a barrel
he said that gas would go down to $50 a barrel. He claims
to have gotten this info from a source that is a part of
this hierarchy He mentions that gas will stay around $50
for quite a while (months or a year) and that it's purpose
is to bankrupt the middle-east like Iceland.

So this is the next thing I am keeping my eyes on. He said
news about this should stop popping up in the next few
months. If said scenario comes to pass, then that's just
one more reason to push me closer to the "Global Agenda"
side.

severe economic pressures increase crime and other social
problems, police and eventually the military are used to
quell the inevitable riots and unrest. police are given
greater power, greater restrictions are placed on personal
freedoms and the right to gather publicly and privately.

I don't think anybody was pretending in this manner. This is
a pretense that you alone fabricated.

The fact remains that, in general, the actions of law
enforcement is a highly troubling situation. We've
established so many "law enforcement" branches of the
federal government throughout the country's existence -
unconstitutionally - that the obvious consequences have come
to light. These consequences take the form of individual
police brutality, all the way through departmental
bureaucracy/waste, etc. Few would even blame the cops
themselves, but rather the system which causes and allows
cops to misbehave as so many do.

I've been keeping a close eye on these theories. For
comparison look at a theory that most people know is
bullshit like belief in ufo's. It starts as a simple meme
then snowballs and snowballs through imitation until you
have an elaborate evolved complex of ideas replicated in
many brains. NWO theories could be a similar complex of
false memes. But unfortunately I'm kinda leaning toward
believing some of it. The theories are kind of immune to
being proven/disproven with evidence. I don't know, youtube
fema camps. Could be idiots at the 'top' of the weird
political cult want social darwinist population
eugenics/control.

Alex jones is a skilled oral speaker and can sound quite
intelligent at times. He plugs his websites 2-3 times every
video, maybe he knows the info is not true and just found a
way to get rich with advertisements. If so he's a good actor
and appears to believe what he says. But he seems
quirky/eccentric.. I mean there are a lot of strange brain
abnormalities out there. Kim peek, some weird shit that make
people think they're god, etc. Maybe he has some weird ultra
paranoid brain abnormality. The way he seems to remember
exact dates seems to be savant-ish, often associated with
such abnormalities. He seems to say 2012 is about when shit
will go down supposedly. worldwide concentration camps or
something.
I see bad signs from corporation behavior.

haha, so true

in fact, the reason we have the NWO to take care of things
is so that _we_ wouldn't have to care.

the NWO - or "Niggers With Oligarchy" as they are also
called, although it's mostly WASP/Jewish - are benevolent in
intent but incomprehensible by the intelligence of ordinary
humans, which is why they can appear frightening.

and what wMw said is also interesting, I think Alex Jones is

i just don't quite get it.
you have all of these documentaries saying dont trust the
MSM/media, they are just feeding you lies; go and do your
own research etc. etc. and they point out how when you watch
modern media, by the end of the segment they have already
made up your mind/opinion for you. you are supposed to see
through this.

yet with films like 9/11 loose change and zeigiest; it's
quite funny, because in a way they do the very same thing.
they massage data/facts/theories to fit their description,
and by the end you feel like you already have your mind made
up for you on the subject.

ironic!

Any of these "I am's" are there just to give continuity to
thoughts and identities. Human consciousness is changing so
rapidly that the continuity is struggling even harder to
maintain itself so what we're seeing is this match-flame
flickering violently before it burns out totally. And what's
left after that? Nothing but potential.

America is not a military empire. There's no "world
conquest" happening on America's part. Look at the humans
and the ideas behind it, dissect them and you see them for
what they are. It's just fear, it's just living, breathing
fear. That's it. That's all there is. I don't see why
everyone thinks its any more complicated than that. It
isn't. I am tolerant, however, of the fact that everyone
requires simple things to be complicated.

There are no "military empires" or "guns", just fear. Let's
look at it for what it really is! A gun is fear.

Isn't it much easier then to resolve the problem once you
see the essence of the problem? Why can't we just overturn
all the beliefs and see what is behind them.

It's like a big lot of categories were thrown at a bunch of
preschoolers and the preschoolers became convinced these
were the only categories they could fit into and can't
imagine any possible variation of categories within their
classroom assigned by their teacher!

Loose Change was made by three teenagers and their iMacs.
"Documentaries" like that are no better or reliable than MSM
nonsense.

Pretty much any video like that will have an agenda, but
some will back up their message better than others. I look
at America: From Freedom to Fascism, made by award-winning
documentary filmmaker Aaron Russo, as a great example of a
documentary dealing with issues like Zeitgeist but in an
extraordinarily intellectual manner. The important thing is
to bring intelligent speakers, historically accurate
information, and a clear goal, to the table. F2F does this,
while Loose Change and Zeitgeist are both pretty awful, and
probably do more to hurt their causes than help them.

By the way, the entire America: Freedom to Fascism
documentary can be viewed for free on YouTube.

I meant to point out with my post why america is seen as a
military empire. what it actually is is a fearful empire,
its just full of fear.

the military is the meat and bones of the ideaology, so, the
ideaology must be one of fear. its afraid of destruction. so
its got chemical weapons, dreadful types of portable and
submarine artillery and nuclear explosives to prevent that.

so, maybe it can be better to not look at it or any nation
as a "military empire", or rather a very fearful empire.
maybe that is closer to the truth

we need ideologies that do not end up on the battlefield,
but rather with hugs, handshakes, laughs, smiles, and cool
stuff.

critique of conspiracy theories as replicating mind
viruses:
LAZY_TITLE

Still, even if the theories are false dogma, there could be
negative consequences from a memeplex so large. Similar to
how 'satan' doesn't physically exist but merely believing in
such an entity can make people do evil things. And if its
dogma there seem to be a lot of people 'infected' with this
information that arises from opinion instead of evidence (I
mean ron paul regularly appears on the alex jones show). And
where does he find so many people to interview that all
believe this stuff too? Could be they're all infected with
the same constantly snowballing memeplex with major
replicators being sites like jone's sites.

Believing in Satan doesn't make people do evil things,
they'd do that on their own. Satan allows them to
rationalize their choices by placing the locus of control
outside of themselves. You can't be responsible for a
choice that was forced upon you by a demon.

You're talking about some very complex belief systems, and
it's worth pointing out that the methods for manipulating
such systems are very developed and sophisticated. You
cannot evaluate these systems as "true" or "untrue."

Surely you are aware of the many instances in which
systematic, deliberate abuse of citizens by the United
States governments has been made public? Giving LSD to
citizens without their knowledge, for example. I think that
this fits any definition of conspiracy, and I think it's
fair to accept that many other illegitimate, illegal,
unreported and unethical actions have been taken against
American citizens (assuming we're talking only about the US
government and conspiracy theories involving actions taken
by government agencies against citizens).

Instead of focusing on the memeplex perpetuated by the
ill-informed and paranoid, you should be studying the tools
and strategies of misinformation, disinformation and
propaganda.

Or so I thought, when I typed this into the message board
today.

Personally, I am not ruling out coincidence; however, if you
read the info for the clip you have people like Condoleeza
Rice saying no one anticipated airliners being used as
weapons. You also have Bush and Rumsfeld saying something
to the extent of "no one could have predicted these
attacks."

Bottom line, our government new what was going on, and if
they didn't engineer it they allowed it to happen.

OK but just because those 3 people said nobody could
anticipate it, doesn't mean it isn't possible to make such a
thing up in a story/tv show..

It certainly does not mean the government knew what was
going on.. You can't deduce that from 3 unrelated statements
and a video clip.
