that cd is so good. i came back to it today after not
hearing it since... i dunno, july? wow. i remembered so many
things from that time, so much thats happened in just
several months. all these pictures just jumped up suddenly.
so many feelings just bounced right up like they'd been
there the whole time and i was unaware. crazy.

agreed, but i prefer the versions cd.

ae for president and may 2009 be the year when they will
finally release a live soundboard bootleg! ...and a remix
album...and another coop with surgeon, and a new one with
moritz von oswald

i'm not so sure if i prefer the versions or the quadrange
ep's... but the retail quaristice is amazing on it's own...
as are the add-ons! POLYPHON!!!!

ya the package is worth all the Perlences alone. I love that
wooden snare sound throughout.

My favorite remains to be Cichlisuite! Quaristice is good,
too.

:)

Anyway it kinda grew on me. After coming back to it for a
while I really started enjoying it. Now it's on my playlist
every couple of days. Preferably very loud whilst stoned.

I seem to prefer the normal version though.

I picked this up and heard it for the first time last night.
I liked it (a lot) but had to keep pausing it to attend to
other things. Looking forward to hearing it all the way
through in one sitting.

I'm still trying to find someone that agrees with me that
Steels is the best track, but I'm starting to think that
maybe I'm just better than everyone else. Seems logical, you
know?

made in their hole career

Why don't you try and get your fridge signed?

apart from altibzz I don't like any tracks on quaristice.

it sounds so...weird. and I don't mean that in a good way.

the track IO for example....seriously, only autechre can get
away with that. this sound really bad.

the whole album sounds like aimless knobtwiddling. you know
the stuff you make when you're just fooling around a bit and
maybe testing some new synth or patch or whatever.

I do like the allot of other autechre though. it's just that
quarstice just doesn't do it for me.

i found the best way to enjoy this material is to make
custom playlists of the best tracks and versions from all of
the related releases, and prune it down a bit. some of the
shorter tracks from the album sound nice mixed in with some
longer ep & se cuts. i can sit and listen to that more like
an album, where with the releases themselves i'm track by
track.

also, it reminds me of going to the beach last spring. that
is where i was when quadrange was being released.
