Plaid - Heaven's Door OST

Heaven's Door OST is great. A lot of the tracks sound like
they fit a specific moment in the movie, but others are
fantastic standalone pieces.

"Host" is probably one of the best things I have heard from
Ed/Andy since the Undoneson EP - and that's saying a lot
considering how much I adore their music. It's a complete
Analogue masterpiece - very Balil-esque.

There's also a track reminiscent of the Spanners-era named
"Durban Pain."

I was looking around a found a picture of what looks to be
their studio and lo-and-behold a ton of their synths
are on display!

wow! I've never paid much attention to these guys before,
but this might be the one to convert me to a Plaid fan. I
just hope the OST is not some pricey import CD for the USA.

that huba remix on their myspace sounds good as well.
checking their discogs page it looks like i've mist a lot of
their recent remix work. and a lot of it is only available
on some obscure release. damn them!
they'd better release a parts in the post volume 2 SOON!

huba remix is stonking, definitely one of the best tracks in
that Signals series.

Host is very tasty as well

yea, there's no single mindblowing track here, but there's
lots of sweet tunes and even a few banging ones.
Surprisingly lacking in fillers or uninteresting ambiance -
which are so often the things that kill most sountracks.

I'm not going to argue against that, or the tune. It nearly
did it for me, too, but i wish the track had progressed a
bit more.

Hey guys, do you think Warp records reads the xltronic
forums for our opinions when they consider releasing it for
domestic releases?

If we say enough positive things about it here, maybe Warp
will give it a non-Japan release.

...because if I could pick it up at my local record shop i'd
be there first thing in the morning to buy it.

I just came across a video of a recent Plaid gig in
Russia that has a few songs from Heaven's Door on there, but
that's not what caught my attention with this video.

Fast forward till ~2:08 and listen until ~2:46. Whatever
song that is it sounds awesome, especially the last 15
seconds of it. Let's hope that track turns up on Scintilli.

Here is a longer video of the song I was praising
above.
