is anyone else here a student of these? i have been
studying both for a few years and, along with my studies
into magick, the qaballa, quantum physics, j s bach,
semantics, tibetan buddhism, yoga, i feel i am definitely
making cosmic progress

yours, in disembodied nirvana

I did a very small amount of shaolin kung fu as part of my
training (only one form and I can't remember it all- lots of
horse stance and long armwork).

I'm going to the chinese state circus tommorow to see a kung
fu display.

i was in tae kwon do for about 8-9 years. i wish kung fu was
taught in my town. i usually just rent jeet kune do books
written by bruce lee from the library.

lucky bastard. were you any good at shaolin kungfu? i enjoy
standing in the horse-riding stance meditating upon a square
for hours at a time - i find it lifts my spirit higher than
the 10,000,000th decimal place of pi

I've thought of getting into some form of Martial Arts but I
don't know which one. What would be a good form if I was
looking for the spirtual and meditative side of it? Also I
am old and brittle so my body can't take much of a beating.

Nyarlethotep, and ate from the CozmiQ Orrange seated on the
Yogic Platter of Baphomet. but i was so much older then

what about the philosophical aspect? do you adhere to that
at all? have you given up all material things 'cepting a
gown and a bowl of rice?

i have some tibetan chant with some great throat singing
that you might like, can't think of it right now but if you
want ill find out the title. its available on audiogalaxy
and is incredible.

i am going to start learning tai chi. this is something
that is more aimed at physical health and spiritual balance
through balance of the body. the self defense is only an
aplication of it, which works well with me since i dont plan
on getting in any fights.

as for meditation, i dont adhere to any religoius or
dogmatic practice, but just learn from all the sources and
let my heart tell me what needs be done.

yeah if you find the title i'd be very appreciative.

i too, don't adhere to any one belief system/dogma - that
would just be a trap

The Gyuto Monks - Tibetan Tantric Choir

there's two tracks, one straight vocals and one with some
traditional instumental too. i've not been able to obtain a
complete copy of the second track. i think i'll buy it
actually.

i think the album Freedom Chants from the Roof of the World
is by the same people, but the Gyuto Tantric order is 500
years old accoarding to amazon so there are recordings from
different gyuto folks other than these.

it's attainable. just realize that they are one. the
entire system is integrated into one single body, every part
dependent on every other. not that i myself have attained
balance and kept it, but all in good time.

i hope it's not the "wheel of life" demo... it bites!!!!

only the kids are good, and mostly in the aspect that they
have that ability at such an early age.

hey i just saw it now jupitah - thanx heaps! :)

the drunken pole style kungfu is amazing - the film "shaolin
temple", jet li's first feature film, has a nice
demonstration of it.
