Pop punk, i.e. Green Day

Their songs are quite catchy.

Blink 182 are simmilar to Green Day but much poppier. It's
like there's a party in my ears and everyone is cumming.

they're better than sum 41, who are a blink rip-off bAnd. i
like some of the old blink songs, but haven't liked anything
recent i have heard. i can't believe greenday are ever
listed as being a "punk" band...i find that truly shocking

i just say:
Greenday was the begin of all these absurd pop punk bands,
sorry but that's totally a horror, so young and
underdevelops

alternate. recycle, you're excactly right: a pretend punk

ok i'm one of those guys that when a band gets big i pretty
much drop them from my collection (please don't argue with
me about why) but back in the day when they were just blink,
yes i enjoyed their music immensly. i still prefer kids to
listen to them rather than limp biscuit or shit like that.
that's about the only good thing i can take from them being
so popular. there is only a handful of bands that are big
now that i followed before they 'made it' that i will still
back now. pretty much only local bands that have paid their
dues in the underground.

offline D-Hex from Blue Springs Missouri (United States) on 2002-03-29 23:12 [#00149512]

yes evol -

i think blink 182 is much much much more tollerable then the
nu metal bullshit out there, ie saliva, adema, limp bizkit,
that fucking crap.

funny how limp bizkit pretty much dropped off the face of
the earth.

offline EVOL from a long time ago on 2002-03-29 23:14 [#00149522]

incubus is the one big band that i really like,,,,aaf on the
other hand is a pile of dick, sorry man.

offline joey from montréal (Canada) on 2002-03-29 23:15 [#00149528]

i generally don't like bands with numbers in their names.
what's the deal with all the number bands out there,
anyways? 311, blink 163 or whatever, sum 41, etc... geez,
gimme a break

offline Jarworski from The Grove (United Kingdom) on 2002-03-29 23:16 [#00149530]

ALIEN ANT FARM, they're from riverside, cali, where i've
spent the better half of my life. but regardless of numbers
311 is damn good and blink only added the numbers to avoid a
lawsuit from an irish techno band from like ten years ago or
some shit but sum 41 is a pile of dick.

offline D-Hex from Blue Springs Missouri (United States) on 2002-03-29 23:19 [#00149538]

alien ant farm,,,,yeah numbers in names are getting
repetitive and annoying.

offline D-Hex from Blue Springs Missouri (United States) on 2002-03-29 23:20 [#00149540]

piles of dicks all over the place!

haha

ive been a big 311 fan for a long time,,,although im
starting to revolt,,,but they were one of the first big
bands that i know about that had a number in their name.

offline EVOL from a long time ago on 2002-03-29 23:23 [#00149547]

it's a regular suasage fest up in here, up in here.

yeah, normally every song on a 311 album is great but from
chaos isn't up to par.

YEAH!

Hey evol - have you ever been to a party when someone DOESNT
say 'sausage fest'?

I swear every party ive ever been to,,,'god damn sausage
fest up in here!'

fuggin hilarious huh.

offline EVOL from a long time ago on 2002-03-29 23:38 [#00149586]

i think it's a party foul if someone doesn't mention it at
least once any more than once is another party foul.

offline D-Hex from Blue Springs Missouri (United States) on 2002-03-29 23:45 [#00149598]

agreed, it should be stated to let everyone know that it is
officially a sausage fest, then put it to rest.

offline EVOL from a long time ago on 2002-03-29 23:49 [#00149607]

kinda like this topic, it has been stated so now that
everyone knows BLINK-182 sucks but is still better than
nu-metal, and now it shall be put to rest.

'despise' but good choice none the less.
