i've actually been looping it now for quite some time, putting it through different filters etc. there's something about it that i find incredibly attractive.

but... it's the same bending scale sound looped and mixed together at the exact right time and frequency, the loop constantly encreasing in volume at the beginning and decreasing in volume the lower the tone becomes, so at a lower tone it will be 'filled in' by the oncoming higher tone from the beginning of the loop, exactly one octave frequency higher than the lowest tone. It's quite neat i might add. Good find!

I've heard of that I think. Its a trick using octaves.
Start with c-5 and slide down to b, a, g, f, etc all the way to c-4
simultaneously another starts at c-6 and fades down to c-5. But this one starts silent and the other starts loud.
Fade the volume of the first out gradually and the 2nd in gradually. So you end up at c-5 again but the process was gradual so it feels like you're always going down.

The best trick ever was that true-3d sound (all directions) despite being only stereo, using a crazy trick with microphones and dummy heads

If I listened to this all day I'd probably succumb to a murderous rage.
It is a neat effect, though. In short bursts. :]

nollfriend, get these, they are good. do you have a MD recorder or something? suppose you could always plug them into your soundcard and then hold your head up to your PC when you need to record but somehow this does not seem like an elegant solution

Imagine microphone static SQUEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAALLLLLLLL AAAAAAAAAH!!! (then you could hear you scream in 3d later)
Do you have them/do they work good?
That trick brings to light how complicated the brain is and sorta how much of an illusion perception is.
