Apologies for the heavy plug/spam nature of this post, but I know a few of you here are fans so I thought I'd post... :P
Future Image Records has undergone quite a revamp today with the introduction of instant mp3 retail through PayPal. Customers will soon be able to buy all FIR releases instantly in digital, 160kbps mp3 format by clicking "Buy Now" next to the mp3 price on the Catalog section of the label's site. The option is currently only available for Future Image releases but will soon appear for Atakarma releases and others in the pipeline.
You can preview all Future Image releases at Last.fm by following the links below:

ok, I might re up with them with VBR - I just want to keep bit rate fairly low at the moment due to bandwidth and webspace, but I can't see VBR being a problem (other than I've heard some tales of some players really not liking it whatsoever)

You really should up the quality if you're going to charge people. £7 for an mp3 album at 160kbps is a bit of a jip. I'd want much higher quality or FLACs for that price. Other than that good work, I'll check some of this stuff out.

Due to public demand, all 160kbps mp3s have been replaced with 320kbps mp3.
If you buy an mp3 album, you will download a .zip file and be given a "registration code" in your order. This code is the password to unlock the mp3 files.
