P.S. As you may or may not have heard - H&C Council have ruled that Ginglik will be closed down in 2009 - they have basically upped the lease so much that it's impossible for the venue to continue - in order to price them out and force them to close, so they can re-develop the Green with their new shopping Mall :-( This is a very sad thing for electronic music in London. Ginglik is one of the very few venues that have been dedicated to pushing forward underground music - they refused to ever go down the "easy, cheesy" route and have had electronica/techno/experimental music every Saturday for over 6 years! Show your support and come visit one of London's best independent venues and promoters of underground music, before they are gone. |
