you'll have a good time i'm sure, but the lineup has been
pretty much identical every year.

i'm going, been every year so far so thought i may aswell go
again this year. it was close though, i considered some
others instead. but then they announced they were cutting
the ticket allocation and increasing the camping area and
seeing as the over crowding was what pissed me off last year
i decided to give it another go.

most looking forward to the BANGFACE night....oh god it's
gonna be awesome.

we just bought a 5 foot by 3 foot acid house smiley face
flag for our tents!

no way we're getting lost in a drugged up haze this year!

hey good on ya kid, yeah the bang face crew will be crazy,
(i was at bangface also) i'm also looking forward to the
japan invasion stuff and of course autechre's new set (*_*)
i'm actualy getting excited about it now. are you going to
sneak alcohol in? cus you're only alowed so much on
thursday. i'm gunna go on friday, but I know how to sneak
drinks in which is full proof, let me know if ya need that
info

we're going on the thursday, we'll probably take a bit of
alcohol in but to be honest not much as i usually end up not
drinking it anyway! last year i took 8 cans of lager and
only drank one. it's just easier to buy alcohol from the
bars there, rather than having to trek back to the tents to
get more, it's not like it's massively over priced at the
festival anyway.

Fuckin 'ell! Don't stoop so low! What are you doing! Get
some good music and charge a fair price.

why is everyone so miserable about this year's glade? don't
you want to let loose, get wasted and listen to some new
tunes? what about the new artists? or are you scared it will
be wet again?

offline morge from United Kingdom on 2008-07-13 04:03 [#02221612]

personally, I am raring to go.
Vitalic, Noisia, Meat Katie, KJ Sawka, Bong-ra, Hellfish,
Saint Acid, Ove Naxx, Scotch Egg and co, Dreadzone, James
Holden, Autechre, Jeff Mills, Ulrich Schnauss, Daedelus,
Droon, The Orb

all highlights for me. And of course the inimitable Pendulum

yes! it's overkill! i will spend allot of time in there, but
there will be allot of unkown artists, which is always
interesting for me. i dont know ulrich schnauss, daedelus,
or droon, but i might check em out, if you think their good

offline morge from United Kingdom on 2008-07-13 15:57 [#02221748]

Daedelus is a bit like Four tet from what I've heard, a lot
of cut-up organic sounds, but I think his live sets are a
lot more frantic than his albums
Droon is a breakcore artist but I particularly want to see
him cos he plays with a keyboard attached to a flying-V
guitar, where each key triggers a loop or an effect or
whatever.
I've just got one album by Ulrich Schnauss, which is sort of
Boards of Canada-esque ambient stuff, so he should provide a
pleasant end to the weekend.

Overkill definitely looks like where its at though,
especially friday night. For some reason I seem to always
end up spending loads of time in the breaks tent and really
enjoying it, even though I don't really listen to much
breaks

too skint this year and the lineup isn't that great, i'd
like to see bass clef and and ae and a couple of others but
that's about it. always far too quiet after 11 anyway and
the last time i went some bastard robbed all our weed in the
middle of the night, fuck out to glade
