I've recently realized an unofficial video on plyphon, a
song taken from last autechre release quaristice

video on youtube

Check it out, it's worth a look. Any kind of feedback
greatly appreciated. Thank you

The best fan-made Ae video I've seen...

actually that's very rutherfordish. the details are stunning
when the cylinders still spin when the sound stops. great
stuff.

probably the only thing that i dislike is that quite trancey
ceiling at the beginning which reminds me of some winamp
avs.

also - it would be great when there would be some progress
when the beat goes into the stricte hip hop style around
1:57.

but overall great stuff. where can i download that in dvd
quality.

this available for download

Thank you all very much

I posted the video in many places but I think the best
quality version could be seen on blip with the
quicktime version. There should be also a downloadable .mov
file. I know youtube looks very crappy but audience is too
big for not posting into it.

excellent job.

yeah with quaristice they discovered they have a predelay
knob on their alesis reverb.

they just didn't have to be that excited that it's now in
every second track.

well either they have a proper visual system of this type or
then they have nothing, that's what I think - it would be
terrible if they just had some random blobs of colour and
abstract shapes

offline jackeroffer from Aruba on 2008-06-29 15:36 [#02218954]

boxbob: yes this is only type of visual system i would be
pleased with, i think this unofficial is as good as gantz
graf although it is definitly inspired by it. imagine if
Draft had accompanying visuals for every song , i would
seriously die

They always choose the worst songs for the best videos.

Actually I figured gantz video + music were maybe created
simultaneously or at least computationally fused somehow to
get the visual + audio to align so well.
But the plyphon video syncs perfectly too and was apparently
made entirely after the track. Looks like it uses the same
exact software as gantz based on the way the camera moves
and general visual structure.
