so i've had the same speakers for ages - prolly since i was 14 or so - which have done me well for quite a while. theyre a set of four (altho i only have two at the moment) gem sound dg10s paired with a 550 watt amp. but i havent had a sub for the system before.
the other day i realized that i had completely blown out the speakers from my crappy creative 2.1 computer speaker set up, so i started contemplating what to do with them. i've ended up hooking my mixer back up to the amp, and on a second booth channel i have the sub/amp from the 2.1 system hooked up.
i must say, actually having a sub on my home system makes music sooo much more enjoyable. i have for too long been envious of my friends with bumping systems, and me sitting here with gobs of mid- and high-end with nothing on the floor.
i cannot stop listening to dubstep. shits addicting when you can hear it properly.
my biggest faves so far have been boxcutter, dj skream, the new meat beat and merzdub (an excellent record for those of you who havent picked it up yet)
