sweet vid

i wish i had a studio full of equipment to master on - i
guess i'll have to stick to those nasty mastering plug-ins
for now.

Are his tracks any good though? They are playing throughout
the video. You decide.

It's a good sales pitch though, I'm sure it will ensure a
constant supply of gullible new clients

is there such thing as 'pre-mastering'

maybe they aren't his tracks then!

the guy wants to spread fear, yet he himself started by
mastering his own music!

He doesn't want you to master your own music so that he can
get his greedy fat mitts on it and buy more cakes. the fat
git.

let me clarify my last but one post:

He wants to make you afraid of mastering your own music,
because you will make a mess of it. Yet he started by
mastering his own.

WHAT A FAT EVIL TURD

Cool video, he has some nice gear. I love his music under
the Rob Acid alias - the guy has been around for ages and
knows his stuff. Not too keen on his recent tech house
direction under his own name though...

Crazy reverb tanks + reel to reel recording? Yes please.

he basically does very little though

remove below 30 hz and above 17 or 18 khz and hardly apply
compression you can do too! it's not about the equipment

i like the music with the video

he is just talking about over-compressing

i'm always warry when someone advices native instruments
though, this part of the video, where he starts talking
about his music, is less good anyway. i guess he can master
though

I don't care how you punks act around your moms, but when
you come here you show some God damn respect.

How does he make you afraid of mastering? By giving you
pointers like, 'don't squash the signal in the computer'?
And then some. He even clearly points out that "it works for
him" with some the things he's talking about, meaning it
might not be the best for you.

He seems to be paid by Arturia also, and Roland, Korg, AKG,
NEVE, EPI, SSL, BBC..he uses Battery too!

He has a frikkin MS-20! <-- yeah..NI paid him for this
haha..

i've seen too many online native instruments commercials (on
their site), it's odd to say you like native instruments
when you only use battery of theirs, which is just a virtual
drum pad (and samples), and you apparantly don't use any of
their softsynths

it's okay, i just don't believe him when he says native
instruments is good (mainly because i just don't like their
products anyway)
