LAZY_TITLE

Go to the bottom and dl the mp3 streams from the album with
the ocean and sky. It was made in 1986.

I used to love this guys music when I was a kid. He was
aphex without a 303.

how does it sound like aphex though? i was gonna say it
sounds more like tangerine dream, until i realised it was
produced by one of the guys from that group.

aphex was probably more influenced by the chicago acid guys
(also working around the same time i may add) and the usual
detroit / belgian techno heads.

clutching for straws here sir!

I knew someone would say that.New age is evil. I admit it. I
don't like it usually, but I do think aphex is not entirely
detorit techno. I think he is a bit of detroit, but there
are elements of new age in Aphex's work not to mention pop
sensibility when it comes to melodies. Oh listen to me. I
sound like a cunt. Well, I think there are similarities.
Aphex is better, but O'Hearn does sound a little like the
early Saw albums. Not as good of course. I'm more amused at
myself for liking this music when I was 10

i was gonna make a patrick o'hearn thread but searched and
this threads way ahead of its time!!! 2008!!!!!

patrick o'hearn rules so much imo hes not the aphex of the
80s tho instead hes the b12 of the 80s. they use similar
tonality and even sounds sometimes!!

i was raking leafs at my grandmas house 2day and listening 2
patrick o'hearn on my mp3 player it was perfect

heres some patrick o'hearn sounds

beauty in darkness from his 1st album
87 dreams of a life time from his 2nd album
acadia from his 3rd album
coba from his 5th album

his 1st 2 albums ANCIENT DREAMS and BETWEEN TWO WORLDS are
must listen for every1 on this board and use lots of cool
mysterous synth sounds and rhythms. the 3rd album RIVERS
GONNA RISE is more happy but still cool and full of feel
good jams. the 4th album ELDORADO is ok but i didnt really
get into it but 2 be honest i didnt listen as much as the
others. the 5th album INDIGO patrick o'hearn goes more
serious on us and its probably less sounds ppl here would
call "cheesy" its different from the others but still really
good maybe its 1 of his top albums. sadly i didnt hear any
of his albums after that but he made alot of them in the 90s
and 2000s

b4 he made all those album he was in a band called group 87
with MARK ISHAM and they made some cool music but i dont
know it that much. also check out the album he helped DAN
SIEGEL with called ANOTHER TIME ANOTHER PLACE... the song
where are you now is super cool

patrick o'hearn is 1 of my all time top artists and u guys
need 2 check him out and if u dont im gonna be personally
insulted
