Not sure about the free CD but heres some more info about
the one you've got (and the one I'm getting tommorrow
:))...

P.S. This is the label with Mike Flowers Meets Aphex &
CEEPHAX (Tom J's little brotha)...

LO AND BEHOLD - VARIOUS ARTISTS LCD27

Yes indeed. In the spirit of great labels of the past such
as Command – one label sampler featured Shostakovich, The
Soft Machine, Glenn Miller and moog music by Dick Hyman! -
Kama Sutra, Limelight and other maverick ouposts, Lo
Recordings brings you a compilation chock full of prime time
head food.

If it seems at first devoid of any clear 'mission statement'
repeated listens will no doubt prove that the exhortation to
open your mind is an apt one in these increasingly grey days
of conformity and timidity.

Selected from recent, current and forthcoming releases on *
Lo Recordings, you might not like everything but you'd be
insane not to like some of it.

Here's a rundown of what's on offer:
Russian electronic abstraction courtesy of EU in their
Chrissmass Baubles guise. A fine example of the genius that
is Nino Nardini from Barry 7's Connectors album.
Psychedelic, electronic prog lunacy from They Came From The
Stars (I Saw Them) in a mellow mood.

A fine slice of most noteworthy
electronic pop from Cursor Miner. The beautiful 'Formations'
from the beautiful Mileece taken from her forthcoming
surround sound masterpiece 'Formations'.

Serious 60's funk 45 action with Jerry & The Medicine Men
from the 'totally dope' 'Because You're Funky' album.

New signing The Chap – formed by Johannes from Karamasov
– with an inspired fusion of chopped beats, strings, piano
and guitar.

An exclusive live cut of mental jazz madness feat. the
mighty Tom 'Squarepusher' Jenkinson alongside his brother
Ceephax, DJ Req and others.
Heavy space lounge action courtesy of Heinz Funk from The
highly acclaimed and rightly so 'Nuggets – Luke Vibert's
selection'.

Rock chick action from LA with the lovely Dee & Laura
produced by the excellent War

It seems there's a few quality sampler CDs out there. Check
F-Comm's FCUK sampler too. As Tony the Tiger would say its
G-r-r-r-r-r-eat.

like a CD single...I guess they don't make any money fron
them directly, just a good way to get peeps to check your
stuff out...

I've read about Greensleeves and will keep my eye out. One
of my favourite CDs was a free NME one. It had Andy
Weatherall, Harvey and David Holmes mixes. Featured Plaid.

Has Plaid, Addvibe, Burnt Friedmen and the Nu Dub Players on
it.

Oh ARSE!!!...I forgot to go in OurPrice this lunchtime...

instead I had fun pretending to be my "little Brother"
returning Library Books that are over 2 yrs overdue....There
are mine of course but Essex Librarians are pretty fierce so
I thought I'd be my big brother and generally moan about
what a lazy cunt my brother was for not bring em back
himself etc...

Not sure why I'm confessing this here...

Its a great shop. I too have that tape. They are moody cunts
in there though. I sold some CDs in the second hand shop and
the guy in there was so fucking ignorant.

They do have great bargains though. I'm going to miss it
when I move.

Back home to Cardiff where they have HMV, Virgin, MVC, one
shit sparsley filled dance shop and one indie independent.
Its shit. If I had the money I'd open a shop. There's a real
gap in the market.

Is that the TEE with the book with Aphex in it and Analogue
BB3 on it?...I've got it (and another one of the TEE series
on CD - think the other ones got some Caustic Window on it -
Cunt or Phlaps or something like that)...

If so, it's a very cool selection...(even the Moby track is
good...& the Spooky/Billie Ray Martin track is even cooler
(a cover of an old Psychic Youth song IIRC))...

& the Aphex AB3 is one that isn't to be found anywhere else,
I don't think...it's not on the AB3 CD...It's very ambient.
very SAWII....if thats the one I'm thinking of...
