I was just listening to the audiobook of 3001 the
other day and listening to the introduction.. I remember
thinking how old he must be and that he couldn't have that

I read The Sentinel out of interest. It was interesting.

I always thought Mr. Clarke was either an American or
Canadian.
His accent doesn't fit the typical British or English accent
that I tend to hear.
