"Very Important Production"

Used to be a popular suffix for a a mediocre remix by a
superclub egomaniac. Had gone out of fashion until it
recently came back into common usage for dubstep. I'd prefer
it if they put '(version)' on the end like old dub records
instead.

ah, cheers.
i've come across heaps of dubstep/drum n bass tracks that
have v.i.p at the end of them, and it always felt like i was
being left out of some really private in-joke.

I thought "Version" referred to an instrumental version.
Admitedly I got this information from the Sisters of Mercy
FAQ.

I believe "VIP" is the name of a scene group; this will mean
that the mp3 has been ripped by a member of that group and
is a "scene release".

B Punisher (V.I.P.) (5:06)
