my dad was kind enough to get me the DVD box set of Blue
Planet and Planet Earth. They're the BBC version, with good
Sir David Attenborough narrating Planet Earth. He may be
narrating the Blue Planet as well, I'm not sure as I haven't
watched it yet. It's 10 discs in all. I didn't even ask my
dad for it but he surprised me and it was damn nice of him.
Made my christmas. : )

Also my mom made a delicious christmas dinner which was
really nice. I don't often get to enjoy mom's homecooked
meals anymore.

Oh and my 17" CRT monitor was malfunctioning (flashing and
strobing slightly and losing the color saturation), so I
used the 90-something dollars in Best Buy gift cards I got
from relatives and the rest of my money and bought myself a
19" widescreen LCD monitor. 3000:1 contrast ratio and 2ms
response time = crisp picture, so I'm happy.

All in all, I did alright this christmas. :)

yes, but as you can see from my post in that topic, this
thread and its initial post are a couple of gifts that i
received for the christmas.

pizzazz pizza oven

i'm completely serious and it is completely great. if you
haven't seen one before, it looks like a dinosaur about to
bite down on a spinning turntable. Did I mention it's
great? Well it is, especially if you are like me and don't
own an oven. (you can even toast up jalapeno poppers and
apple pies on it!)

also, i found an opened/used personal disc player under my
door mat christmas night. it's a beautiful panasonic, all
white w/bright orange writing. Thanks mystery gift giver,
it sounds pretty good!

bitstream 3x *fap*fap*fap*

a 500 gig harddrive for backup

a fly little spring assisted knife that's actually a razor
blade - badass.

some other stuff that's for the moment overshadows by the
above three gifts.

also, zephyr: blue planet is also indeed narrated by the
great sir DA. youve got two of his best documentary series,
the only other that i think is better being the private life
of plants which is utterly amazing.
