people eat cicadas. i saw a guy who had a big bag of them in his freezer from the last time they were out. he's really stoked about them coming back.

funny story -
We had these things living under our front porch at our old house.
When they would start to come out, my dad would come out,,,with a rolled-up newspaper!
He'd fight those mothers like there was no tomorrow, like hours at a time.
That was fun sitting at the window and watching my dad battle for our front porch.
