cracking gig! in bits today though - did faaarrrr too much
drinking yesterday. c64's jungle/dnb set was just lovely.
swifty's theme and then vordhosbn out of nowhere. and u-ziq
played a sweet version of brace yourself jason which was
well appreciated.

vsnares was vsnares.

Alex, the first of your friends I met in brogan's pub -
whatshisname, Ian or Dave or something? my head is fucked.
anyhow, he wanted to get my email address from me before the
end of the night so we can sort eachother out with some
music and movies and suchlike - unfortunately once we went
into TBMC that was pretty much the last i saw of yiz
altogether! so i'd well appreciate it if you could pass it
on to him. and remind me what his name was. ;)

nope, didn't bring a camera but some of my friends certainly
did, and i think alex might've. i'll post them when i get my
hands on em.

also alex brought a minidisc and mic, i'm very interested in
hearing how the bootleg turned out :)

i certainly couldn't tell ya. set began with lots of strings
and stuff.

then descended into undanceable bollocks. i really don't
like that mofo.

Did µ-ziq do the Brace Yourself Remix? It's really bleepy
and a little bit videogame-ish if you don't know it already.
His music sounds so good in that situation but he does so
little and I'm starting to think he does the almost exact
same show each time too.

I think you cant dance: i've seen him
three times and all he played was very danceable stuff.

jungle/dnb is my thing. not hardcore
UDMDUDMDUDMDUDMDUDMDUDMDUDMUDDMUDMDUDMDUDMDUDMDUDM 25
basskicks-per-second type ish.

I think there was an EP called Brace Yourself with about 7
or 8 tracks on it, I've never heard much about it but I
don't think they are tracks from Lunatic Harness or
anything.

i don't regard vsnares as drill. vsnares is breakcore, which
means LET'S CRAM AS MANY BREAKS INTO AS MANY SECONDS AND SEE
WHAT HAPPENS.

squarepusher is drill. drill is good.

You're right..its breakcore..but i'm sure vs doesnt think.
"LET'S CRAM AS MANY BREAKS INTO AS MANY SECONDS AND SEE
WHAT HAPPENS"
. All songs are well thought and beautifull
compilations of breaks and beats..

it's just not to my taste, that's all :)

just don't have any respect for the guy.

I've heard one song from it, downloaded reluctantly from a
friend.. it's called.. augh i've lost it. never got the full
song anyhow I think.

Anyways I really really liked it. tried to get a torrent of
the album to check it all out but I can't behind this
firewall. but yes, sounds much nicer than his other stuff.
much more relaxed, which surprised me.

the whole album is relaxed..not really the vs' hardcore
breakcore..you'll love it (and you'll get some respect for
the man)

alex here.t hats guy was Paul and .... i can get his email
addy for you tomorrow - i need it myself and y new flatmate
has it. he had t leave early cos he badsically left a stag
do to go out for a bit and had to go back to it. Mad!

I LOVED vsnares and so did my mates who never realy heard
him before. The relentless breakcore vibe really impressed
them and for me its all about the minicsule moments your
brain manages to to rescue from the asault. Very dancey
too.

lurved mu-ziq and well for his lsh synths and c64 blew me
away with squarepusher mixin with apphex and don;t forgte
"sledgehamnmer".

VSnares ruled though... amazing show. i cna;t name the
tracks but he did a large range anyway from is violiny stuff
to his funkier cuts. mmmmmmmmmmmmwicked

it was a fucking great night :)

cheers on the paul tip. very insane that he'd left a stag
night to come along - never would've gotten that impression
when i was talking to him.

i didn't know till he left and niall and antoin mentioned
it..."he;s gone back to the stag". it was his g/f's younger
brother and he was obliged to mind the scamp.

Dunno why he didn;t drag him to vsnares ... now thats a
stag-nite.

Btw threee people came up to me and said "i hate people too"
when they saw my "i hate peope" tshirt. explained it was
supposed to be ironic and they looked ta me ... all funny.
fucking never got your picture redrum... doh. there's always
GLADE!!!

jesus christ, imagine being bugged out on a stag-night
quantity of beer at vsnares :D probably best he didn't get
dragged along ;)

strange about those people; i don't think i could bring
myself to go up to someone and comment on a catchphrase on
their clothing.. especially if it was "i hate people" :D

and yea there'll be plenty of drunken & crazy photo
opportunities at glade no doubt :) wasn't aware that you
were after a photo of me at vsnares!

i wasn't "after" a photo my bespecled chum . I just though
it'd be cool to have one of a fellow xlter at a major gig...
I can't wait to post my vsnares ones... some are coola
boola

what about when he jumped of the stagea nd towered above the
fanboys clawing at him? It reminded me of afx surrounded by
the kids in "come to daddy" video.... sort of peadoish!

haha must've missed that :D i left and went to talk to some
people and smoke about.. 15/20 mins before he finished i
think..

was getting a bit too much for me :)

really? thats was mild compared to atp03.... he really
launched a lot of white noise at that one. this one was
coherent in comparison. I wouldn;t listen to it all the
time, but now and then a bit of eardamage is healthy.
