The other week I posted a track on the board at a quiet time in its draft stages so I could hear some feedback. based on what I heard etc I worked on the track and TADA! I know some of you won't like this as it's not a typical xltronic track but I hope some of you can appreciate what I'm doing here. All feedback will be followed up to personally by myself as appreciation. |

I enjoyed this on the whole. Very odd melodies and nice, powerful and warm synth sounds. Like the reverb too. I didn't always like the structure, and the beat changes (although some of the programming was good). A bit abrubt and annoying in places. Also, try making the transitions between the sections a little more natural sounding. Just my opinion! :-) |

Electric piano keys at the start are cool, starts the vibe off right. It stays exciting throughout, lots of changes...something i try to do but rarely accomplish. The groove is awesome, the breaks are fresh, the melody is really catchy nice and subtle tone, and sits on the bass perfectly. Really enjoyed this track, ace programming, nice sounds and textures with a lush mixdown....will def be listening to it again =oD |

Well, like Autechre said...just make music for yourself. It's amazing with my tracks, too, the reactions. I'll get two completely opposite pieces of advice half the time, heheh. One person will say, "try slowing it down and making it repeat a bit more so you can get into the groove", and another will say, "it's too long and too slow." |

Haha, Yeah i get that all the time....Everyone has a different vision of how it should be i guess. It's a strange situation getting reviewed by other producers, someone who understands sound can pick at the details, whereas regular people listen at face value, and normally just say it's Good/Shit. |
