Anyone going to this?
Squarepusher, AFX & Vibert playing along with 808 State and
Dreadzone.

Fuckloads of Psytrance though. I kind of want to go just so
I can attempt to do some breakcore gurning to uplifting
synths or whatever. Probably be loads of dogs on strings.

So yeah, a mate of mine is going and I'll probably go with
him. Just wondering what the word on the street was.

I wouldn't sell any part of myself to go, but it looks fun
and you can get absolutely MUNTED on drugs, so I reckon I'm
sold.

Also a weekend of camping and hanging about is pretty funny
anyway.
Wish I'd gone to Dedbeat instead though.

Yeah. You don't wanna come here, mate. It's full of people
in Burberry tracksuits, Tony Blair supporters and paedophile
priests.

I really wish this line up had some more harsh stuff in it
though. Like a bit of Hellfish, Dolphin, some crazy Japs
like DJ 10000000, Ove Naxx and Utabi, perhaps a Shitmat or
Toecutter set to liven everyone up a bit.

to attempt to get famous artists to hold...

Just imagine Luke Vibert holding "I hate promo"
Autechre holding "We LOVE Pete Earthleakage"
Squarepusher holding "Sorry Pomme, next time you're dead"
DJ AFX holding "ecnadniarb taught me all a know and more I
don't"

Lots of enthusiasm.

That's good.
The huge CRUNCH noise that will be the sound of all this
enthusiasm being crushed to dust will be a lot better than
the Goa Trance squirming its way over the unsuspecting
countryside while toothless hippies try to unite the world
with gay hand gestures.

When I saw that I thought for a second it was DJ Pogo
(cutmaster swift's mate), then I saw what genre it was...

I've just double checked and my mate's wedding is the
weekend after- so, I could go. However, I'll probably of
just started work the week or so before and it'd be bent if
I booked it then couldn't get the time off work. Hmm...
dilema

can you call them and ask them in advance for time off?

Say someone got you the ticket as a present or something

Dunno who I'll be working for yet. My old employers are
unsure whether there's a place for me and I'll probably
apply elsewhere just in case. The only thing is I don't want
to get a good offer somewhere, only to have to say, "by the
way, can I have the first friday off?" :)

The other thing is the cost, I'll of spent a fair whack of
cash on my mate's wedding so I dunno if I'd be able to
afford this as well. I'll wait till I've got a better idea
of when/where I'll be working and then if tickets are still
available, get one then.

CeriJC:

just tell em you got 2 weddings to go to. Fuick em ...In
nearly every job i've started i've had to say "by the way...
i've booked a skiing holiday for 2 weeks time" or some shit.
I never heard of anyone refused a job beacuse of it and any
bad vibes are immediately dispelled by your totality a a
nice fella on return to the grind.... lifes too short.

Plus.. if you're starting a new job... you'll have the cash
for AFX won'tcha?

avoid meeting up this time ;)

I dunno. I've had employers who I've told in advance that I
was going to have a two week holiday and halfway through it
I got a phone call saying "this isn't good enough".

It depends on who you are and what your job is, but
generally it's a bad idea to start a job and take a day off
on the first week.

wants to meet up and who dosent

Definatley gonna have to make a flag though

Even if we all camp seperatley we could all have our own
flags

Excellent idea...we can do 27 new tracks and play them all
instead of someone wank. I reckon we should do a revenge
attack on behalf of Pomme and take Squarepushers place. We
won't kill him, just kidnap him and hold him in the XLT
tent, cover his head with a black bag, attach wires to his
hands and stand him on a box.
