Damn! I can't use that Inverted Whales' sharing-thingy for
this community anymore (WinMX/Opennap)..

..aparently my internet-provider doesn't allow uploading
stuff (i read it only after i was kicked off), 'cause the
moment that started (u/l) they kicked me off...
and i'm not back on yet! WTF?! i only have acces to the net
at my work now

I hate ISPs that give you high-speed internet access and
then restrict it by blocking ports. Like 80,20,21. This
sucks so hard. Luckily i runt my own firewall since my
connection is unprotected.

Ack! Sorry to hear that Morton, I wondered what happened to
you.

Sometimes it's not the actual uploading/downloading but the
amount of data that triggers this. WinMX allows you to limit
the bandwidth usage, so sometimes you can stay under their
radar.

I'm sorry to hear this ... I wonder why it didn't happen to
you before with soulseek. It's possible they are looking for
data on the napster/winmx port 6699. You can change this if
you want! If you're not too spooked we could give it a try.

yeah indeed it could also be the amount of data.. i never
used soulseek btw, only kazaa and there i disabled the
upload option..

i'll first give them (provider) a call today..

I called, and those wankers say it hasn't got anything to do
with d/l or u/l, they told me "try this try that" BUT IT
STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!

IT DRIVES ME NUTS!!! beforehand i didn't do much at work,
but now i do nothing anymore, 'cause it's the only place
where i have acces to the net...

...i'm affraid i'm addicted
