Re: X04
It's pretty good. Nice ambient track. I like the percussion. It's subdued but it works really well with the whole feel of the track.

Heard X04. Very nice, would prefer if it would have stayed beatless.

I think that it is very very good indeed, but if it was me, I would work more on the percussion beat... it would lift your song up...
In my point of vieuw that is !

Rollers, panning, roomchange, en let the background noise make a pattern with the flow, I mean did you place it carefully or did you just put the file on a track... try the beginning of the noise sequence at different hitpoints regarding your ohter tracks ...
I think this is minimal, jet imortant

I like the background noise. although you could try giving more and less emphasis to it now and then. its just there now (although later on there are some fluctuations..)..
watch out with the reverb on the bell-like sounds. reverb is always a dangerous thing to use.. :P
you must know I'm no big fan of synths - I kind of hate them. they always sound kind of flat to me. the melody doesn't do that much for me - but thats completely down to taste.
I agree with Xammax - it doesn't need the beats. you should try to make the beats from home-made sounds. they sound kind of "pre-set" now, like a drummachine.
I agree with GreenT on the panning - overall sounds a bit two-dimensional. also miss some more bassy sounds, for contrast.
finally - this really reminds me of Plaid's "trainer" compilation for some reason..

But I do realise that you have put a lot of work in this (I think)
By the way, I had the same feeling with your other song, I think your percussion should talk more, from left to right, bang roll hop, and then smoothly go to harp (or something else)
Go to www.ensemble-home.com and listen very carefully to the percussion beat... that is what I mean.
If you don't like it, don't mind the voices, but do listen to the percs...
but then again, who am I, you know tastes !!!!

Thanks for your replies. You guys are right about that background noise that I have. I could have just done some more with it. I wanted to keep it fairly simple and create a ambient rain sound that just kinda stays in the background.
I also looked at that site, those are some spiffy beats. I'll eventually produce skillfull beats in the future, but for now, I have to keep it simple, while still making it as interesting as possible.

u r good. my ideas about your track druqk: look at your music like you look at a picture. every track is layer from that picture. i.e: "rain" is the thinest layer:::you can hardly "see" it mix the layers in such way that you will create a new perception on viewer's ears. ha!___i meant: the guys who see the music
u know:::: anyway, i think you are talented ''''''''''::'''''''''
