what do you think about mundane threads on the board, like
i just took a big shit, i'm here in the computer lab, my
sister is sick, etc.? mindless babble or interesting
get-to-know-you's?

I think they're a competition.

I try to post the most humorous reply I can sometimes.

But other times I just say somethiggn stupid (like this
one)

Sometimes I'm trying to do one and I end up doing the other.

I think as of right now I'll put a joke with every reply.

What kind of keys won't unlock a door?
Turkeys!

i wouldn't doubt that for a second. although i have been
constantly playing him new music, more the chilled stuff
(global goon or boc for example) and he's lovin' it

speaking of topics/posts for points, i might hit 1000

A lot of seemingly random things can incite some nice,
weird, enlightening babble!... or just a riot.

that might sound like i post here for points. that's not
what i meant. if i posted everything i almost posted here,
i'd have aboot 4000 by now, but i stop myself from saying
anything too stupid. jus so you know......

personally i intend to ignore mundane topics completely,
even if they reach the 50+ range. i was wondering if i was
missing out on anything or if i'm right, it's just babble.
i'm not saying i'm really busy but i can i say i don't have
the time (nor interest) to read about people's trivial
personal issues. now if it's a crisis (breakup with
girlfriend, existentialist cry for help, whatever) that's
another story, and those can be very interesting things to
discuss. however, i've chanced upon some topics that seemed
interesting from the title and they just end up being like,
what color are your socks. anyway, thanks for the
perspective fellas, and spoonz: post another message.

Mundane topics considered but not yet posted by DaWeeze:

-Are you gonna eat that?
-How loud was my last fart?
-My soda just went flat.
-Confield r00lzs!...oh, wait...how did that get in here?
-How many posts until Ophecks shuts it down? (A personal
favorite)
And finally:
-XLTronic was supposed to be up over a year ago!

Any additions, comments, suggestions welcome...;)

Basically...

They put me off coming here...

That sounds bad I know....but when I visit and find the top
20 topics devoted to saying Goodnight, My shit don't stink
etc...it's somewhat sad....

There are a million topics deserving of discussion....and
that's a better way of relieiving boredom than "Kilroy Was
Here"....

Shit...I sound like a killjoy; but fuck, you lot know I like
a laugh as much as anyone & some of what's posted is funny &
amusing (but 80% isn't...).. ....

let's keep the free n easy atmosphere of this board so lets
not let mindlessness totally take over....

like what?....

Change the way people are???....close a million
topics??....I'm not a fucking policeman...and the above
opinion was just me (some pople probably like things the way
they are...)..

Anyway...XLT is XLT...best AFX board there is, regardless of
the noise sometimes....

grab it...think I'll put it on me Xmas list tho.....

(was a bit weird watching a film that more or less echoed my

I like how the film deliberately tramples all over the
boundries b/w fiction, life, documentary, art and
reality...constantly addressing the audience...

at least with some of the shit topix on this board (this
one, maybe?) we can start a good conversation about
something worthwhile, right? such as 24 Hour Party People.
a movie i've been meaning to watch and all that. will check
it out sooner or later.

agreed...they could have done something pretty
straightforward i.e. boring, which would have let th spirit
Factory down really...great to see things wart'n'all...(and
that didn;t play down the drug angle...which totally
transformed the entire country at that time....)...
