this was rare once, but now its reissued, did you buy the
new one?

do you still play old aphex?

because it was ages since I plyed some oldschool aphex and
to be honest this is so much better than anything coming out
now

the tuss is quite good, the analords are too... but compared
to this its just bland

this is incredible... whenever one forgets why aphex is or
was the "king" of techno, all you need is to come back to
his roots

I think the whole idm thing did not really do good to
aphex... I mean when it was not about idm just about
techno... results were so much fresher

It's ok. Prefer his stuff including & after RDJ album
though.

classics is a mixed bag. it certainly has its highs and lows
even within individual tracks. at some points it's just way
to repetitive, even for dancemusic, i guess. at other points
the imaginativeness is still refreshing after all these
years.

Some amazing tracks on this of course, but some seriously
shite ones too. RDJ wasn't too happy about R&S releasing
this, so either he feels the same way, or these tracks meant
a lot to him.

Regardless, Digeridoo, Polynomial-C and Dodecahedron are
some of my favourite tracks ever. He really was in a league
of his own back then.

which are in your opinion the shit tracks here ?

this simply is a collection of the previous eps (ab1,
digeridoo, xilem tube) and the we have arrived extras

it's just a dumb compilation, get the invidual releases imo

Well I only really like the tracks I mentioned above. The
rest are either repetitive and boring (flaphead, phloam,
tamphex), or just incredibly grating (the we have arrived
remixes)

I do like Metapharstic though. I guess I just never really
got into industrial techno that much.

well i have the individual vinyls too, but I am talking
about this one

compliations of eps are not bad imo... another thing is
greatst hits which I think tend to not make justice

but this ar ethe three eps plus some extra tracks... I think
its a great thing

as for the individual releases those are no doubt some of
aphex finest moments

some good tracks on it,
specially polynomial-c for me...
but i cant see how can it be better than the tuss,
honestly, maybe just in impact compared to other music
arround at the time, but latest afx creations are a lot
better in musical quality terms and imo...

I absolutely love the harder tracks on this: Flaphead,
Phloam, Tamphex (Hedphuq Mix) amongst others. I enjoy the
live Digeridoo(s) more than the studio version.

i actually have the version released by some distro i've
never heard of called Distance. I got it as an import right
before the PIAS re-issues came out.

Just want to know...

Where does the track Metapharstic come from ? I can't see it
on any EP of him...

Most of the tracks you don't like I can agree with you on.
However Flaphead is awesome. I like the fact that it grinds
on and on.
