Woaah, is it just me, or has mong faced Venetian Snares
really had the decency not to release any more of the same
old shit, or indeed any shit, lately?

He's finally flogged his one-trick-pony to death.

(flogging a dead horse/ one trick pony mixed metaphor)

people don't think otherwise, they never sound the same
thats whats so cool. It's not like creed or something.

Soundwise they might be a little different, but rhythmically
they're all the exact same breakcore crap. He really should
expierment more with his actual structure.

Infolepsy is his most bangin'.

he can make "breakcore crap" as you call it
wolfslice...until the day he dies and i'm sure i'll never
get sick of it. its not like waiting 6 years for a new
autechre album only to get it and realize you just bought a
big steaming piece of shit for $20...if the dude has a
shitty album, there are like 2 others to check out in the
same year. i've liked most of them so far... Variety is
nice...if you don't like him STFU already...go listen to BOC
and stroke your cocks

Don't get me wrong, I like snares.

I just think he could expierment a little more.

i agree that he could do a bit more exploration which he
does in tiny increments this last album & [last step]
projects...he does stuff that i've daydreamed about doing
with sound and could never achieve...and probably never
will.

It's not a get it thing or whatever, I don't know man I
really like it :D
It just sounds cool !

"I just think he could expierment a little more."
Man, I don't understand, his music is always evolving and
doing new stuff.

If anything he's experimenting to much. His fucked up
electronic mayhem is the best! Huge Chrome , Horse and Goat,
Chocolate Wheelchair , badminton, 7 meds.

If you don't like his style thats cool though man, you
aren't gonna force someone who likes only classical to
listen to the bad brains, and you aren't gonna get someone
who only likes Skinny Puppy and Front 242 to listen to Kanye
West :D

hes showing to have a wide musical range

just compare making orange things with doll doll doll,
witboas, printf, infolepsy or my downfall

I love his music

I listen to all those and you still won't get me listening
to Venetian Snares.

Most of his stuff is pure garbage, he is clearly somebody
for which the term quality control has little meaning. It
wouldn't be as bad if he even got away from theme albums and
mixed the 'still breakcore but slightly different' styles
together in a decent package.

offline thecrimsonguard from ∞ (United States) on 2007-11-01 17:53 [#02139966]

...so if he went the bogdan route and released an album once
every 6 years he'd be cool then?

Not cool, but he would stand a better chance of producing a
listenable album for people who are past puberty.

title is "Vaudeville Follies & Rag Time Piano ClasIxXx"
dedicated to Ecnadniarb in the inlay

else he'd released.

that'd sound like every other shitty techno artist why do
that?

Exactly because he can't do nothing else than emo/dark
music, I would just want to hear if he could do a decent
dance floor track.

Listen to Pwsteal.Ldpinch.D and tell me it sounds like
shitty techno or Legowelt's electro disco tracks.

it's just too much electronic music.

IMHO, but you didn't ask, the massive amounts of tracks
should be dished to friends. save the gooduns for the
releases.

viberts kind-of going the same route.

it takes me so f'ing long to digest one album; i just feel
overwhelmed and can't keep up.

especially when there is so much filler (not pointing
fingers).

i understand diff aliases ; diff types of music ; diff sound
should be relased together since they are , cough ,
different.

but you get my idea.

let's keep this niche of genre tidy, shall we?

He's great. He shouldn't get mature because when he gets
mature he gets boring. More orange things cats chocolage
wheelchair less huge chrome rossz downfall

Yeah, I think Vibert's more guilty of this than dear
Vsnares. I know he's very much liked in these quarters and
has less releases out than Snares, but there's some real
quality control issues in his output.

Venetian Snares is actually great. You've just got to limit
yourself to the odd track every couple of days.

Not because they're bad, they're just often intense and
abrasive (excluding the new orchestral stuff).
This tune is great,.

did you hear the recent full release of moog acid (the thing
with perrey). It's SUPREMELY derivative of his earlier
work, and barely any of his brilliance shows through.

sorry I make you lush is still fantastic

No, no I haven't. To be fair I haven't heard a lot of the
new stuff, just a bit of it, so my opinion is probably very
uninformed. Maybe it's best that way; you can enjoy his
style because you haven't heard it done to death.
