My sister says it is Aphex Twin, so I believe her. I just
thought that I would check with all of you electronic music
fans to make sure!

I like Synthacon 9 very much.

Why is Aphex Twin so scared to make music with his real
name!

Hi Michaella, The Tuss is a band, so RDJ used a stage name.

There are many reasons to use a pen name, one is to not
oversaturate the marked with your name so if you are a very
productive person and with a good following you may want to
use a pen name so that people will buy your other records as
well. Can you imagine the fans reaction when they found out
that it's all made by the same person? Hilarious!

it's a project.

it's over.

move on, already.

btw, track 2 on the LP. the melody/part that starts at 4:47
is the best music ever.

I would say it's just RDJ and Viberto. RDJ being the girl of
the band (Karen Tregaskin).

Only you to point out a minuscule part of a song and blow it
out of proportions.

I'm not hung up on it. In fact I've not heard the entire
album, but I would like to know who is in the band.

I mean, what's the evidence that RDJ is even a part of it?
Is there any evidence at all or is it mainly just guessing
based on characteristics of the music?

also guessing its afx because of him playing tuss tracks on
live sessions

he played some of the tuss tracks in live sessions,
yes.

but they were all re-worked or bits were added to the final
release if you listen closely.

"he played some of the tuss tracks in live sessions,
yes."

yeah, and in 2002 and 2004... before myspace was
invented/used.

I can't believe we're still talking about this. it is what
it is and it IS GREAT.

brian fucking NAILED it on this release.

don't think there is one part that isn't a bit dull or
"filler" between the good sections.

i mean, we all go fan-boi every now n again,
but the tuss is simply more than anyone could have asked
for.

i would love to hear some more gx1 variations, but i don't
even want to think about how difficult the solo track took
to lay out.

just like astrobotnia, the tuss is a great project that
deserves to be killed off immediately after introduction.

execs want to know why kids aren't purchasing music these
days? how about you release something like this that is
seemingly impossible to go stale.

It is him, there's loads of similar bits in it to Druqks and
Analord. If it isn't then somebody is trying quite hard to
throw in sounds the reflect those in his previous releases.

It's great whoever did it, anyway.

Look, Aphex arguably started the whole IDM thing, albeit
unwittingly, with SAW 85-92.

Now he's releaesed, very low key, The Tuss, which puts an
end to any fanboi's hopes at making IDM, The Tuss is off the
scale, it isn't something Flourescent Ghey is going to get
away with MAXsping some granualizer on his zx-80 up in
Canada, .. it's the end, punto. Thankyou Dicky for 20 years
of fucky dance music. Let that be an end to it.

i don't think he himself started it. if he did that would be
the ultimate joke of all. aphex made the albums but the
dorks created the term.

I also had a dream last night with RDJ in it. it wasn't
sexual....

he was playing at the Leeds festival which me and my mates
were at and we talked to him and he was nice.

he played EOD, file A6E0 and a reworking of Cylob's I Want
To See You Naked and lots of other amazing dream music.

then I ended up naked and covered in mud and had to wrap a
duvet round me like a toga to preserve my dignity.

then I fell in a mud hole and couldn't find my tent.

then I was whisked away back to South London where I live
and then I woke up.

well, I think I woke up.....
