3 new tracks, notes were hit. Probably the second last one,
this. I hope you'll dig it. Spent some time on these.

It's EAP24.

Thanks for listening, if you do!

Bastard is a painful to listen to. If it was up to me I
would just get rid of that filter envelope thing alltogether

Hard Gummi - it's great! Very Analord, very catchy and very
cool. Well done!

Tarbreath - Similar feel as that of Hard Gummi. I also,
hmmm, get a distinct Black Dog kind of taste in my mouth
here and it's kinda 'liscous... Well done again!

To sum it all up I think the two final tracks do better
without the first one.

Bastard is good, and I get the feeling you could end it
succinctly by just adding yourself saying the word cunt at
the very moment that high-pitched sound ends!

Hard gummi: Love the sonic sound, but the bass-instrument
kind of threw it a bit...

Tarbreath: I love that kind of syncopated thing you've got
going with the bass, and the "other" part (right after the
the last ninja introduction) hits the spot at exactly the
right time! How do you make that sound that is solo at the
very very end? The bass..?

I'll save all tracks and listen to them at a proper volume
when the office people downstairs go home.

actually, eap25, as my last eap, will have some vocal work
on it. it will probably end the series on (by far) the most
bizarre note it has ever reached.

EAP isn't an alias, it's just a way of cataloguing some kind
of music. EOD will always be my music name thing. and yes,
EAP25 will be my last. there's still EAP21
though!!!!!!;;););)

you'll still be releasing music as EOD? Sorry for being
confused. :D

I love the sound choices on these new songs... they've got
sort of an 80's yamaha synth retro feel to them. Like the
synth solo thing at the end of Hard Gummi.. very nice.

A personal essay on 'Authenticity in Popular Music'

To me, authenticity in popular music is closely related to
my own subjective feeling of experiencing 'honesty' in a
song.

Frank Zappa once said: 'Writing about music is like dancing
to architechture.' What I think he meant about this
statement, is that music is an abstract art form and that an
individual's personal feelings of listening to a certain
piece of music can not be be translated into the written
word. First of all, this is because a person can not convey
his or hers subjective feelings (like joy, grief, euphoria
or melancholy) to others about - for example - a song, in an
objective way. Second of all, it is because these feelings
I've mentioned - and other human feelings - in themselves
are not objective, and it is therfor impossible to share
them to anyone but yourself without them losing some of
their 'subjective reality' which they are part of.

This brings me over to Nietzsche. He once said sometihing
like: 'In music, the passions enjoy themselves.' Music is
about, like all art, enjoying yourself (and your passions).
However, it is deeply personal Which passions you want to
enjoy. Some people like to listen to music which in the
general public is percieved as, for example, 'depressing.'
The point is that individuals themselves choose which music
suits their personality.

However, I am of the opinion that the feeling of honesty is
of a more universal and objective nature than a lot of other
human feelings. This is not restricted to art, and certainly
not to 'popular music.' But in terms of 'popular music', who
could not be affected (in some way or another) by the
honesty of Sinead O'Connor's 'Nothing Compares To You', Joy
Division's 'Love Will Tear Us Apart', Jeff Buckley's
'Hallelujah' or Bob Dylan's 'Like A Rolling Stone'?

Historically speaking, a lot of artists are remembered for
their honesty. This includes writers, painters and
musicians.

A coincidence? I think not.

like i've said before, people hardly get "signed"
anymore.

So you are saying that most people are more freelance and
shopping release by release rather than signing a so many
year contract?

I kind of understand why it would be like that with how the
industry is now.
