right so, im looking for the perfect post apoc album.
preferably with samples of real things to make it seem more
immersive, but no industral please.
i know industrial is loaded with that shit but im not a fan
of the genre all that much.

im looking for more idm like beats and sounds, and maybe
some ambient soundscapes.

any ideas?

I recommend this album called "Cognessence" for that
purpose, it's very post-apocalyptic. Samples are
here.

If I remember right, I believe that album was made by
someone on these very forums, too!

I still haven't got round to buying that album!
Need to get my act together because all the bits I hear are
gold.
Can I get it anywhere other than boomkat or without using
paypal?

I thought we'd have to post the apocalypse here, which I'd
find challenging as I don't have even picture posting
abilities.

PostEverything are selling it, and you don't you have to use
paypal. The bits they chose from reviews annoy me, though.
Any other sections would have been better.

cx, may I recommend The Magnificent Void to you? Forgive the title
and Steve Roach's newage tendancies on the website; it's his
best album, and the last track makes me feel like the
Universe is comming to an end.

“Like Photek before him, Robert Logan has discovered his
dark side at a tender age”

Unlike Photek, Robert isn't really called Rupert, which is
in his favour.

What Steve mcQueen said, plus especially:

GYBE - Yanqui U.X.O
Silver Mount Zion - Born into Trouble as the Sparks Fly
Upward
Explosions in the Sky - Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die,
Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever
Explosions in the Sky - The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place

Dunno what's up with the awful(ly) long titles, but
apparently it's the hip-artsy-fartsy thing to do. The albums
are great though.

Yes, yes I said they chose bad sections. I actually quite
like the original BBC thing.
