my ipod

- has had about 4 major software failures in less than 3
years.

- i cant charge it up with the mains charger. it recognises
it but just shows the charging icon.

- if i hook it up to the p.c it wont recognise it to let me
back up the music on it, in order to format it.

- itunes does however recognise it, but says it is unable to
format it

- sometimes it tells me to go to the apple website and won't
do anything else

- sometimes it has no music on it. sometimes it has all my
music

- it has a habit of freezing up and not working for a few
hours

- it tends to skip tracks after about 2 minutes.

i would never buy another apple product.

sounds to me like you're just listing off features.

sounds like the harddrive failed, or is failing. buy a
newer, bigger one.

hehe. i've always had problems with the battery life of
mine. like, i'll charge it for 7 days straight or something,
and as soon as i disconnect it it turns off saying it has no
battery. random shit like that.

then recently, i disconnected it without ejecting it
(computer was rather frozen at the time) and after that i
kept getting the sad ipod picture. my friend told me to drop
it, and i figured i had nothing to lose, so everytime it has
the sad ipod picture, i just drop it from a short distance,
turn it back on and continue listening : )

I had an ipod for 4 years no problem but then i got in a
motorcycle accident and it got ripped from my jeans and
slide about 300 feet from me on the freeway.
EMTs found it next to my bike (which also slid about 330f)
and gave back to me on my ambulance ride to the hospital i
proceeded to listen to the song playing since i crashed
(true story).
Thats when i realised anyone bitching about ipods either
have faggy PC and that why they have problems or they are
just faggy themselves and should just be continued to be
ignored.

or, you know, you can reformat the thing and not destroy the
harddrive. wtf, youre asking for a failure with that.

oh yeah. *reformatting right now*
the first time it froze, my computer didn't recognise the
ipod at all, so i "fixed" that problem with the dropping
technique. i guess i kinda forgot about fixing things the
right way around after that.

Yeah, this is why I don't ever think of Apple whenever my
mp3 player breaks.
