I've occasionally seen this glorious BBC soap, and whenever
I have seen it, there's been a bad guy doing bad things. The
bad people always stand out because they are well-spoken, or
posh. Why is this? I mean, of course, in London's East End,
you'd expect the crimminals to be educated, posh folk,
wouldn't you?

the people of the east end all love each other and look out
for each other...they don't cause trouble for their own. The
posh hate this and are seeking to destroy the last true
british community.

y da fuk u lookin at dat?

I HATE Eastenders with a passion, whenever i see a scene
from it there is someone crying on th stairs, or someone
jumping off the top of a building after there wedding, or
dying on christmas day, almost every year... or maybe
someone finds out they have cancer.

glad to see the viewer numbers dropping, maybe people are
getting fed up of the contrived, manipulative, depressing
storylines.

I agree with your description. It's also very preachy, which
is even more irritating given how life-defying it is in
every way.

If a character tries to better themselves or they have a
well paid job they are shown to be a bad person - if thy
have a working class job or are generally unsuccessful they
are intrinsically good and loveable.

I'm more an Home and Away man myself...I mean, soaps should
be frothy and neat as well, after all it is
enter-friggin-tainment...
